SlappinSalmonella How done are those carrots after about 45 min? I'm just asking because I might try this, but I'd rather they still have a little bit of crunch to them. As you said, 90% of the time.. just spam basic attack is 100% viable. Abilities definitely feel lackluster, and most of the characters that have good AoE abilities hardly ever get to use them because the cost is too high. By the time a character has enough juice stored up to use those abilities basic encounters are pretty much over already so there's no point. I also played through it on hard, if that means anything to anyone reading this.
If they make a sequel and can add some depth to the combat, while cleaning up some of the other systems I think the sequel would be a banger.

Some people just toss boxes of ammo in a bag or backpack, and go. Boxes fall apart, some ammo is just loose in boxes. For instance, .22 rounds come in boxes of 500'ish commonly, and they are just thrown in the box; They aren't in neat plastic holders like high powered rifle rounds, etc. If a gun jams, and you eject the round that caused the jam, a person may not place that round back into the box, but throw it in their bag.
If someone regularly shoots as a hobby, it is very common to have loose rounds in bags, backpacks, and/or cases they take shooting.
Then they use that same backpack for a trip... voila.. loose bullets.

I'll mention a few oddballs that I think most people have never played.
Tobal #1 (An odd Dungeon-Fighter)
Brigandine (a tactics RPG similar to Dark Wizard on Sega-CD)
Poy-Poy (my absolute favorite ps1 party game)
Einhander (not very odd, just a good game)
Brave Fencer Musashi (chibi samurai time)
Azure Dreams (fantastic mystery dungeon style game that was a lot of people's first experience with the genre)
Vagrant Story (another unique rpg experience)
Ehrgeiz (mediocre fighting game at best, but Cloud was in it)Just throwing this in here, because I think it's the best PS1 RPG: Suikoden II

I don't remember exactly how many hot swappable bays were in the front, but it had at least 4 or 5... Check them out. If they still make that model. There's a door with fans you can swing open and behind it are the hot swappable bays, and they are horizontal.

I have played with some friendly people that are just there to play whatever game and have fun. It's worth a try.
If the game is smaller/niche, your chances are probably even better of it working out.
