Recurve archer here. Started in college back in 2013, helped started the college archery team, and have been on and off the sports for the past 10 years.
For me, it is a meditative sport that helps me focus and relieve all my stress every time I go the range.

    Current setup:

    • 2021 W&W ATF-X 25" Riser
    • W&W WIAWIS WINEX Limbs 42lbs
    • Shibuya Ultima RC Pro sight
    • Easton x10 arrows
    • W&W WIAWIS ACS15 Carbon Stabilizers
    • KSL GOLD Finger Tab

The setup is pretty expensive, but boy is it smooth like butter. I have had no issues with this setup and it also looks amazing with the two-tone color of the riser.

They had a great balance of storytelling and worldbuilding that allows the creative mind of young kids to go beyond thinking what is normal and to think outside the box.

It has been appearing in my wishlist on discount and youtube feed! I think I'll purchase it and give it a go. My first impression on it seemed like Warcraft III graphics. However, I hear the mechanics of the game is definitely a go-to especially with the building management theme. Thanks for the suggestion!

That is the goal eventually! I just have to get over the hesitation and nervousness to actually try it. However, since I live by the coastline in San Diego, I think I will eventually muster up the courage to get the training and the license! Thanks! I am scared of the deep dark ocean and the seaweed forest, but I absolutely love the coral reefs and clear coastlines.

I agree that the original 4 did not age well. You can kinda say the same thing for .hack//G.U. It got a graphics update. It still has the generic dungeon crawling and its unique but simplistic combat system. However, it makes up for it with its engaging story and unique characters that you meet along the way. I love the story of the original 4 about balmung and orca especially, but I would play .hack//G.U. last recode for its nostalgia factor and Haseo's storyline.

To be honest, the game has not really aged well. Controls can be wonky and gameplay can be simplistic. However, it was great nostalgia factor. If I were you, i'd start with the .hack//G.U. last recode. It was a remake so graphics are better. There are only two series for the game: .hack and .hack//G.U. They exist in the same world, you will see similar characters, but stories are independent. .hack//G.U. last recode has all three games plus a new 4th volume with it. So if you want, you can just playthrough that through the eyes of Haseo, the main character.

I picked up New York Zoo by Feuerland Spiele distributed by Capstone Games. It is a super cute family friendly game where you try to fill up your zoo the fastest. This is assisted by breeding the animals, such as meerkats, flamingo, artic foxes, penguings, etc. Once the enclosure if fully bred with a species, you can trade it in for amusement park amenities or rides, which will help fill up your board spaces. Very simple game and super cute designs.

I am a huge PC user but do own a laptop, PS4 pro, xbox one, and a switch. However, I hardly use any of the consoles, preferring my PC for all things media and game related. I have over 1,300 games on steam, but only touch about 10% of them unfortunately. I do suffer from a severe case of "I have nothing to play" syndrome. I eventually want to get a steam deck though.

    My current PC rig is:

    • CPU: AMD Ryzen 3900x
    • GPU: RTX 3080 FTW3 Ultra
    • MBU: Asus Prime x570
    • RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 32GB
    • Cooler: Corsair H100x AIO
    • Case: Lian Li Lancool Mesh II
    • PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 850w Plat
    • Monitor: Dell dg2721dgf
    • Keyboard/Mouse: Razer Blackwidow and Deathadder
    • Laptop: Lenovo Legion 5 with a 3070

I built this around 2 years ago and will probably think about upgrading maybe in 2025, since all the games I play now are running at max settings no problems. However, I play at 1440p and will switch to 4k in 2025.

SNORKELING! I recently just did a cruise to the Bahamas and did a kayaking/snorkeling excursion. Our guide was so knowledgeable and told us so many neat tricks and tips. I always knew what snorkeling was but never have done it. I thought you had to be an amazing swimmer to stay near the top while keeping the snorkel head above water. However, our guide gave us a neat trick with our life vest, where we would place it around our west backwards and use it like a little boogieboard. It made it super easy to skim the surface of the water and peer into the super clear and salty waters in the Bahamas. Now that I am back in the west coast where the water is colder, I hope to get a wetsuit and my own snorkeling gear and see the wonder of the oceans out here!

The .hack and .hack//G.U. were my go to childhood rpg games. I was a huge fan of the anime and manga. I am super happy that they released a remastered version called .hack//G.U. Last recode. It seems not many know about this video game series, only about the anime .hack//roots or .hack//signs. I enjoyed the combat system and the dungeon format. The cutscenes were really great and I loved the stories it told.

Hello! I'm Vince, reddit refugee (user of RiF), avid pc gamer, and star wars fanatic!
I have over 1,300 games on steam and yet only touched about 10% of it unforunately. I have a lightsabers collection of about over 30 legacy lightsabers from Disney and a few expensive custom neopixels one. As for about me personally, I am a microbiologist living in one of the most expensive cities on the west coast. I love music ranging from nujabes to kendrick lamar. My favorite movie is John Wick and favorite food is ramen. I am looking forward to seeing how the community at Tildes grow and hoping to be an active part of it!

I just recently tried the trending smores cookies baking recipe. It actually turned out really good, with a crunchy graham cookie bottom that supports the ooey gooey marshamallow on top. The cookie surrounding it turned out amazing, with it being slightly undercooked giving it a nice accented soft texture to the crunchy exterior.

    To make:
Place down half a graham cracker (I used honey, but will try out cinnamon next time for fun)
On top, couple morsels of semi-sweet chocolate chips
On top of that, place a regular sized marshmallow (I want to try the jumbo sized for fun also)
Then gingerly cover the whole thing with cookie dough ( I tried to keep it thin)
Then baked at 350 degrees for 12-13 mins (resting for about 3 mins)
    Enjoy!

I have gotten into the rabbit hole of just watching espresso prep and brew videos on youtube and would love to eventually buy an espresso maker like a Breville. Seeing everyone talk of their favorite blends, grinds, etc makes me want to experiment one day. However, my kitchen footprint is really small and it would not fit anywhere unfortunately. I was thinking of maybe getting the bambino and even trying out the nespresso vertuo, just because how small kitchen footprint of them are. I know the quality and taste won't be the same, but I figured it would be a good intro to just get started?

I have been just exploring and playing many different roguelike/roguelite games.

List includes: Inkbound, God of Weapon, Dicefolk, Gunfire Reborn, Wildfrost, Crab Champions, StS Downfall, Aces & Adventure, etc

Favorite: Slay the Spire and Gunfire Reborn has been my favorite. One is a deckbuilder and the other is a shooter. Inkbound is my highly anticipated for full release. Dicefolk has a very interesting dice mechanic where you choose the action of your team and also the enemies.

I went on the Cosmic Rewind ride at Epcot when it opened and I had to say it was my favorite ride so far in my life. I am from the west coast, so Disneyland is my go to park, but this was my second trip to Disneyworld. The Cosmic Rewind was super smooth like butter and felt engaging. Unfortunately, I was at Disneyworld before they finished the TRON ride, so I didn't get to experience that.

I just found out about the Stormlight Archive Series by Brandon Sanderson and have absolutely been in love. In about 5 months, slowly reading when there is downtime at work, I have read up to Book 4 - Rhythm of War. Soon, I am going to catch up to the series and will probably start the Mistborn Saga. At the speed that I am reading through these series though, I might need some recommendations soon for series like this.
