Not really for combat/self defense purposes (doesn't seem like the most practical thing, at worst you basically just handed your adversary a free knife) but just because it looks cool and seems like a neat hobby. If I ever get into that it'll probably open the floodgates to having a collection of all kinds of knives. I've definitely ooh-ed and ahh-ed over knives in the past, some very interesting designs out there.

Calls were maybe once a month or every other month because I hate talking on the phone and that lady will talk for over an hour when it felt like we had maybe 20 mins of things to talk about lol. Now I live a half-hour drive away, and the last two months since moving we've met up every other week just about.

Aside from the odd google search where it seems like the most relevant responses are on reddit. I do miss certain communities like r/fanfiction, and may check in at some point in the future (even if only to see if there's other places people have spread to), but overall I've found more time to read books and play games now that I'm not puttering around on reddit reading 30+ AITA threads every day. Thought about deleting my posts and account, but haven't done so.

It's a surreal radio broadcast for a strange desert town where anomalous... things are just a fact of life. It starts out with the various reports, stories, community bulletins, and interviews not looking to be very connected, but eventually story and character arcs will start to emerge. For as surreal and silly as it can be, sometimes they drop some really poignant lines. There are also a couple of standalone novels that take place in Night Vale, I've read Welcome to Night Vale: A Novel and really enjoyed it.
I'm about to start one called "The Department of Variance of Somewhere, Ohio" which is about a mysterious shadowy organization that specializes in supernatural research/containment. One new employee and one mid-level employee are caught up in a sudden lockdown and need to team up to survive the unique hazards of their workplace.

At least it kept the driver awake.
Anyway, glad your incident didn't end with any collisions! The stories where someone almost dies tend to be the best to tell later.

My mom gave me one of her tomato plants, cannot wait for this thing to start producing. The flowers just started to bloom! There's a stunning array of tomato seeds on various websites that you'll never see offered in your average grocery store, if I had the space I'd be growing so many more varieties.

Honestly... vegetables in general. I didn't like much when I was younger, but after experimenting the ways you cook them, season them etc can make most veggies so delicious. Never thought I'd be having meatless meals, but here we are.Spicy foods as well. Used to avoid even mild spice, I'm not exactly rawdogging ghost peppers these days but I can appreciate a decent burn.

Now that I have more money than time (and energy), I'm interested in more concise experiences that cut out a lot of the grinding and fluff. I pick up and then drop games easily now, when I'd spend a lot more time struggling through hard or boring bits as a kid. And yeah the urge for cozy games is strong. I go crazy for farming, home decoration, and fashion elements lol.
For some games I find myself just watching a playthrough in the background while I do chores or something, and that satisfies my curiosity about it.

I'd watched a lot of anime beforehand on like weekend blocks and Toonami, that must've been about the time I figured out ptp sharing and was able to marathon something all at once.

People are so quick to read the least charitable interpretation of a post, eager for a confrontation or a "gotcha!" moment, etc. It can make posting online tough, especially as someone who is socially anxious and not always that great at making my point known. Yes, there are a lot of trolls and general assholes, but once you know what to look for, it's not that hard (imo) to determine when people are not engaging in good faith. Usually by 2-3 exchanges I can pick up that "Well, this isn't going anywhere..." kind of feeling. At which point it's indeed time to bail and save that energy for something or someone else.
Are there any brands of supplements you'd recommend? I tend to get overwhelmed trying to suss out what are actual recommendations from people who use the supplement vs seo marketing bullcrap.
