The difference here is that you're making something that affects their ENTIRE class, not something that affects a small section of them.
The alternative is to take their capital the same way it was initially acquired: by force.
I'm fairly confident this is the only option and Marx was right all along. They won't go willingly into the night, anyone that attempts to take it from them via electoralism will simply be killed/couped in efforts to prevent it as we have seen globally with other electoral victories for socialists. We're heading towards a situation where a fight occurs where they either win, keep their wealth and guarantee near extinction for everyone else or they lose and we at least mitigate some of the damage to the world.
I think mitigating the giants would be lovely. They need breaking up but they're not going to break them up when they're fearful of the rising China tech and online sector.

FDR's new deal for example was one such instance where the capital-owning class voluntarily took a hit because they perceived dangers to themselves and the system they control if they did not.
They currently don't perceive that as was clearly demonstrated by their willingness to completely screw even a mild socdem who wanted mild socdem improvements for society.
They're never going to willingly take on a rule like this because it would be absolutely devastating to their wealth and power.

Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL) is a United States government-funded organization
During the Cold War, Radio Free Europe (RFE) was broadcast to Soviet satellite countries and Radio Liberty (RL) targeted the Soviet Union. RFE was founded as an anti-communist propaganda source in 1949 by the National Committee for a Free Europe.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radio_Free_Europe/Radio_Liberty
Then there's Radio Free Asia:
Radio Free Asia (RFA) is a United States government–funded, nonprofit international broadcasting corporation that broadcasts and publishes online news, information and commentary to readers and listeners in East Asia. Its stated mission is "to provide accurate and timely news and information to Asian countries whose governments prohibit access to a free press."
it was established in the 1990s with the stated aim of promoting democratic values and human rights, and countering the narrative of the Chinese Communist Party.[5] It is funded by a grant from the U.S. Agency for Global Media (formerly the "Broadcasting Board of Governors"), an independent agency of the United States government.
If you're smart and read between the lines on things like "to provide accurate and timely news and information to Asian countries whose governments prohibit access to a free press" you can see the real point is "to project soft power through using our propaganda outlets to influence the citizens within regions we want to project ourselves into".
It seems to give a lot of attention to Belarus
The Belarus protests are an attempt by the nato group of nations to destroy the living standards of a country in their pursuit of bringing russia and other countries within its sphere of influence back under the heel of imperialism. Nothing about them is organic and believing there is anything benevolent about the intentions of nato/europe with regards to Belarus is naive. The people's living standards will be ruined through rapid implementation of neoliberal policy and privatisation of nationalised industry while they stick as many missiles and military bases as they can in the region because it's on Moscow's doorstep.

Comment on Effective political giving in ~finance
Awoo Do this but for PSL and Green instead. This is why I'm an advocate of indirect giving. If you want to support Biden or the Senate campaigns, find underfunded Congressional, state and local candidates running in districts those big campaigns need to win. Downballot candidates target groups of voters that may be invisible to the bigger campaigns, but whose vote will help them in November.
Do this but for PSL and Green instead.

Religious war being a bad thing to be avoided in the context of the story would shoot over the heads of the american audience that this is targeted at if the word jihad is used. Their response would be "haha right jihad bad!" whereas crusade on the other hand has become a word embraced and encouraged among far-right groups. It has more potential to do good in terms of its influence on the audience and basically means the same thing. The fact they're an obvious reference for middle eastern petro-states won't be lost through just this word.

Both are interchangeable at any time the US government feels like it. Whether you want to call it "willing" alignment or infiltration that creates an annexed corporation that becomes a defacto wing of the state -- it's the same thing.
You should try socialist spaces. The issue you've had seems more to do with liberals refusing to discuss anything with anyone opposed to them, holding a stuffy snobby "educate yourself" attitude. Socialists on the other hand very much embrace directly engaging with people if they're genuinely engaging in good-faith. It makes fundamentally no sense not to seek out and attempt to engage and educate others, it is necessary in fact, because it is the only way you get that information to many of them otherwise.
