I was also similarly caught off guard with the sensitivity of the accelerator and brake pedals. I find that one-pedal driving results in a gentler acceleration/braking transition for me.

What year Bolt do you have? I have a 2023 Bolt EV 2LT and it has physical buttons for turning climate off and seat/steering wheel warmers on/off.

I just learned Friday that my job as a lab technician at a research lab is coming to an end by the end of the year. The grant that supports my salary runs out at the end of the year. I'm not that great at interviews and have a bit of anxiety with job searching. I need to update my resume and I've been putting it off because I feel like a failure.

I have practiced Kendo for about 6 years or so.

I don't do any other exercise so it definitely helps me keep in shape. It also allows me to practice mental and physical discipline. I am an anxious person so I try to incorporate what I learn about relaxing under stressful environments and trying to keep my confidence when things go wrong in to my work life.

Kendo cannot be practiced alone so I attend a dojo with other kendoka. This has also given me a valuable source to develop friendships that I otherwise would not have.

As far as recommendation for a beginner, everyone is a beginner when first starting kendo. The footwork is weird, the etiquette is weird, and you'll be trying to coordinate muscles that you haven't ever coordinated together before. I would recommend trying it out and see if it's for you.

That would explain why when I went to my local pho place, the usual large bottle of Sriracha was replaced by packets instead. I wonder if the shortage will force pho restaurants to raise prices...

I wonder if the shortage will force pho restaurants to raise prices and by how much.

I have been continuing attending Kendo practice. I have been working on a strong "seme" and only recently have I realized a way to thinking that allows me to be more confident.

Prior, I had been more passive or timid in my approach, anxious about "losing" and doing more reactive kendo. Now, I think about stepping in as taking or staking territory between my opponent and myself. I take that spot on the court and it's my job to defend it. It's silly, but it gets me into that more aggressive mindset that I think is necessary for good kendo.
