As long as studios like Naughty Dog (Last of Us, Uncharted) and From (Bloodborne, not a first party studio but a negotiated exclusive) are only available on Playstation I'll continue to buy Playstations. Now, if Halo ever returns to form I might be convinced to go back.
I actually do prefer the UX on Xbox, but exclusives matter more to me.

Giving up /r/cremposting once Rhythm of War comes out will be difficult until I'm caught up.

How often are we talking now? Multiple times a month?
Back then you would usually get a modmail for anything that wasn't dangerous/illegal.

falc0n One vote for YNAB here - my savings rate has gone up drastically (to be fair, started near zero outside retirement savings). The "giving every dollar a job" approach really clicked. One vote for YNAB here - my savings rate has gone up drastically (to be fair, started near zero outside retirement savings). Comment on YAML: probably not so great after all in ~comp
falc0n Thanks again for Automod, really changed the game way back when. Can you expand on why you disagree with the move to a GUI? Is it just a concern about introducing lower flexibility? Thanks again for Automod, really changed the game way back when.

falc0n Why do you think Mass Effect is overrated? If anything I think the blowback from 3 soured a lot of people on 1 and 2 in retrospect, which I think are fantastic games. Why do you think Mass Effect is overrated? falc0n At this point it might make sense to wait for Persona 5: The Royal - expected this spring. Will basically be the base game + an additional party member and an additional (semester?) of content. At this point it might make sense to wait for Persona 5: The Royal - expected this spring. They released the first table reading, and I'm cautiously optimistic (and by cautiously I mean I already have extremely high hopes I expect to not quite be lived up to). The showrunner seems to really love the books so I have hope, though obviously there will be many challenges translating a series like WoT to the screen.

Materially direct and indirect subsidies have basically the same impact I would think. If you’re shopping for a car and could save $10k in taxes by purchasing an EV vs receive $10k in a cash rebate for purchasing an EV, what’s the difference? Perhaps timing - if you’re wealthy when you get the money doesn’t matter as much. Also depending on how you structure the subsidy maybe poorer folks don’t get it if it’s a nonrefundable tax credit
Either way you’re encouraging more spending on whatever you’re subsidizing.
