I'm pretty sure TemTem is not free to play - however they will be introducing a battle pass type system. Usually with those sort of things, there's a free tier to get some items, and a paid tier to get more items. Whether or not that translates into a enough revenue to go f2p remains to be seen

Which is reminiscent of Kittens Game. I would say Evolve is perhaps a little... easier? Unless changes in have happened in the last year since I played it, you have to be quite careful where you spend your prestige in order to continue progressing well.

I recalled something from the books about it and did a quick look around and found the following expert from The Last Wish:

Unlike priestesses and druidesses, who only unwillingly took ugly or crippled girls, sorcerers took anyone who showed evidence of a predisposition. If the child passed the first years of training, magic entered into the equation - straightening and evening out legs, repairing bones which had badly knitted, patching harelips, removing scars, birthmarks and pox scars. The young sorceress would become attractive because the prestige of her profession demanded it. The result was pseudo-pretty women with the angry and cold eyes of ugly girls. Girls who couldn't forget their ugliness had been covered by the mask of magic only for the prestige of their profession.

There's also mention of Geralt noticing her shoulders were lopsided and realising she used to be hunchbacked

    possible mild spoilers

Netflix has released a series of character introductions for the upcoming Witcher series

The Witcher | Character Introduction: Princess Cirilla

The Witcher | Character Introduction: Yennefer of Vengerberg

    --

Have to say, this series is looking amazing. Might be easy to make it look that way in trailers, but I'm very ready for the December 20th release.

(Included the mention of spoilers, which I guess most trailers actually have. I don't think there's anything in here to spoil the show if you've already played the games, or read the books)

Crew Dragon is designed to sit on top of the Falcon 9 block 5 booster.

Starship is the 'Next Generation' ship that is both second stage and reusable launch vehicle. It will sit on top of the Super Heavy lifter for orbital insertion. They are hoping to be able to have a launch to orbit capacity of 150,000 kg, which is enormous.

    As for this test -

SpaceX: “The purpose of today’s test was to pressurize systems to the max, so the outcome was not completely unexpected. There were no injuries, nor is this a serious setback.”

It sounds like they will focus on the Mk2 (Being built in Florida) and the Boca Chica site where this one is will move on to Mk3 - the flight ready version of this iteration.

It'd be pretty criminal if they have these great urls and relegate them to being used for legacy purposes

Unless we hear from an independent source, we won't know what the risk or distance apart they were. It could be that the starlink satellite telemetry is more accurate and SpaceX didn't think it required any further action. It could also be that they believe that the autonomous collision avoidance they have built in was sufficient to mitigate any risk.

With Iridium I don't believe they are direct competitors. They are aiming for different markets and there is definitely room for both.

I do agree however that it does bring up an interesting topic, with the rise of mega-constellations (and I think everyone will agree, starlink is not the first, nor will it be the last) - there isn't really a body that governs who can be in what orbit, a space traffic controller if you will.

Reports are that there was a 1 in 1000 chance of collision, which is an order of magnitude lower than required to warrant needing to move the satellite.

This coupled with this recent tweet from Matt Desch, the CEO of Iridium satellites:
@IridiumBoss: "Hmmm. We move our satellites on average once a week and don't put out a press release to say who we maneuvered around..."

Makes me think this is nothing but noise being generated by the ESA
