I'm only like 32 episodes in, so I've only reached 1 big plot advancement, but I really love the "monster of the week" format. I love how little violence there. The focus is on the characters and how they spend time with one another with a fun spike in action right at the end. My favorite part is the iconic designs from the guardians to the dark kingdom, but a very close second is how great I think the English voice acting is! I think everyone is perfectly cast and put so much effort into their roles. And the music!! It's easy to see why Sailor Moon is iconic.
I don't know the entire philosophy behind "healing your inner child", but finally watching this show feels like it's doing that a little bit. I feel a little at peace when watching <3 Planning on reading the manga and watching Sailor Moon Crystal at some point too.
I plan on writing an essay after I finish the show, I've got a lot of thoughts about its problematic elements, queer themes, and how it relates to the girlhood I never got to have. I know the world doesn't need another Sailor Moon essay, but I need to write it for me.

Those are great games. I always wanted to put together a Neverwinter Nights story module. The Aurora engine creation tool didn't seem too overwhelming to learn. I'm looking to the new NWN2 release, maybe I'll put effort into learning that creation tool instead.
I did not beat Jade Empire, but played enough for some first impressions. I just remember thinking the game felt very stiff, but that was a common problem for games of that generation I think. I just didn't think it quite met it's potential and could've knocked a sequel out of the park.

Love that you found it moving! One of the few songs that has moved me to tears is "Thursday in the Dangeroom" by Run the Jewels. Give it a spin if you have time.

It would need to have some damn good art in it. I would absolutely take a guide as a preorder bonus! (even though i never preorder games). Back in 2003 when TLoZ Wind Waker out, I preordered the game at KMart. Just for preordering, I received a strategy guide for the game AND the full game of Ocarina of Time for GameCube. You'd never see a company giving away a preorder bonus that good anymore. They'd charge you an arm and a leg through a "Special Edition" box set.
Online guides give me joy because it's someone who just really loves the game and wants others to have a resource for that game. I know those guides take forever to write so it's extremely kind.

Not even playing the game, just reading people little guides they made.
I've been playing FFVII PS1 for the first time, and I'm using a guide. Not constantly or step by step, but if I feel like my progress in grinding to a stop, I check out the guide to get my momentum back up. Also I look up what monsters have to steal. I just don't think I'll ever find the time to play it a 2nd time through, and I'm mostly in it for the story.
Not that I don't get what you mean. I'm sure I've had similar feelings in the past. With Dark Souls, I've definitely used guides to figure out what weapon I want to use and such. It's just so sad finding a weapon that I would love, but I don't have the stats for.
Rhythm Heaven is amazing and I'd die for a new release.

$70 for a non-smartphone is a price that makes sense to me. I could totally see why someone would want to use a flip phone especially in the context of curbing their screen time. But some of these prices for "dumbphones" are kinda shocking to me... seems like the minimalist aesthetics and people's strong desire to change their habits are adding an awfully big upcharge.
I know I've been there. I've spent money on products I hoped would change my life. When you're looking for relief you'll spend anything.
