I want to be play Live a Live so bad. I played the demo and really enjoyed it. Mixing up the setting so much is exactly the kind of thing that keeps me engaged. Plus I really appreciate short JRPG's. I just have a hard time maintaining focus on one game for upwards of 100 hours, especially a turn based game.

I'm kinda with you about the aesthetic. It seems to be a pretty trendy style right now with games like Octopath Traveler using similar visuals. I don't want to call it bad, but I think I just prefer traditional 2D sprite work. That said, it's fine enough that I still want to play the game.

Are the plot, dialogue and characters strong? Or pretty par for the course when it comes to JRPG stories? In other words, tropey I guess.

Time for a cliche: Finding your identity is a journey. Detransitioning is absolutely gender liberation if it brings peace to someone. The relief that comes with understanding oneself is indescribable, and no one should be robbed of that. This is going to sound super ignorant, but I remember learning about the existence of trans people in my early 20's and it blew my mind. I mean literally, I was floored. I had always struggled with my place as a man. I never felt like one. Whenever I spent time with girls, I just felt so much more comfortable. I just felt like generally, my wavelength matched theirs. I cross-dressed constantly until I was 15 and decided I "had to stop this silly fantasy". I had to accept I'd never be a woman, I'd never be accepted as a woman. So for a decade, I shoved those feelings away. Literally actively repressed my thoughts and feelings, shutting down my brain the second it wandered to those feelings. So a decade later, when I found reddit and saw transgender users discussing their experiences, I was just so stunned. I legitimately thought my feelings were so rare, and that I was just being weird. The realization that I can be the person I want to be was so goddamn liberating. A switch had been flipped in my brain, and all those old feelings came flooding back. I was still hesitant though, I mean do a few stray thoughts really mean I'm a transwoman? But the more I analyzed my past, the more I realized how much I had really repressed. I mean I had literally made myself forget for YEARS all the things I had in common with other women. I was too busy playing a straight boy. It actually makes me laugh now about the level of denial I was in. It's just so clear to me now. I'm so glad other trans people shared their experiences on the internet. Without them, I would have denied myself for my whole life.

Transitioning is liberation, destransitioning as an act of finding oneself is liberation. Find your peace however you can. Be you the best you can.

Some trans people would say that I detransitioned because I was too weak and couldn’t handle the difficulty of being visibly queer or a man

I hate this because I do it to myself. I still struggle with self-hate. I haven't made a lot of progress as far as my personal goals go, and sometimes I tell myself it's because I'm weak and afraid. It just isn't true. Everyone moves at their own pace. Some people have different goals. Some people want to "pass" and some people just want to be happy with what they see in the mirror. Some want gender affirming surgeries and some don't. They're all equally trans. Gatekeeping is shit. Anyone who has called themselves trans should know just how hard it all can be. I don't know how common this sentiment is, but shaming people for trying to find themselves awful.

Being trans is expensive. I'm transfemme and still building a wardrobe. I really get where you're coming from sparksbet. It's not even just the money, it's the disappointing results of it all. I'll buy something that should absolutely fit, get it delivered, it doesn't fit, so now I'm down that money until I can go through the hassle of returning it and getting a refund so it just really makes the process soooo slow. I bought a few wigs online and they have really strict return policies because of hygiene. Trans guys and gals are just such an under served demographic. It doesn't help that many of the trans specific clothing websites I've found just do not fit my style whatsoever. Like, it's absolutely my goal to present femme, it makes me feel better, but I'm also not going to wear a skirt just because it's a skirt and so forth.

As another user said, Both& looks really great. I've had them bookmarked forever so I can try some of their basics. I really feel like it could feel some holes in your closet and be what you're looking for, but it's priced pretty high. I realize ethically made clothing is going to be pricey, but trans people deserve affordable options like everyone else.

I love to shop & browse. I'll keep you on my mind if I find anything that fits your bill :)

Came to recommend this too! Their basics honestly look GREAT. So many great color options, size options, etc. That said, you're very right about $$$ though.

I'm not one to be too bothered by being spoiled. I mean don't get me wrong, I prefer to see things fresh with no spoilers, but it doesn't ruin it for me. I knew just about everything about Breaking Bad before I even started watching it and I still adored it lol.

These all look really fun. Colony Wars looks the best to me, I'll add it to the list :) I watched a video that went over all Psygnosis games, and there was so many winners in the list.

I've played a lot of the games recommended to me since making this thread, Racing Lagoon being one of them. It is EXACTLY the kind of thing I love. I truthfully have only played the first hour because I had so many games I wanted to sample, but that hour was enough to go on my "Games to Beat in my Lifetime" spreadsheet.

So so much cheese and style. And the music is phenomenal!!

I watched a review on this, and it looks charming as hell. I can easily see why you'd like it. Someday I'd like to play the early Persona's, but I still need to be 3 Reload. I'm only 15ish hours in :(

I always feel like I get out what I put in from Tildes. I've had some really great conversations and a couple of users have went out of their way to be kind to me and made my day. I wouldn't hate to see some growth, as I don't want to ever see this place die. I've not gone to reddit but a handful of times since I started coming here and have been healthier for it. Being trans I don't have to worry nearly as much about toxic comment sections baiting me into arguments and making my blood rise. I still see some people ignorant of the topic, but not so many hateful about the topic, if that makes sense.

I recently made a lighthearted thread about PS1 games and was really thrilled with the discussion it created. So in short, I'm happy with the status of Tildes. I do want to give out my invitations though.

I remember there was a small duck like monster, a big yellow one-eyed monster, and something involving discs. I remember enjoying it though. I think I ended up playing a GBA Monster Rancher a little little bit.

    I'll definitely give Monster Rancher 2 a look :)
