Holy shit.
This game is everything I have wanted from an indy game. Everything about the gameplay perfectly encapsulates Indiana Jones. The scrappiness and the comedy of the action is just kinda built into the system in the way the enemies ragdoll over railings or when a big guy catches the hammer you through at him.
Not to mention the story is pretty good. I just watched Last Crusade so in comparison the writing is a little bit off but it's still good and Troy Baker does a great job as Indy.
Also the graphics are amazing and it finally forced me to upgrade my GPU to be able to run it a bit better.
I hope it sold well enough for a sequel because I would love to be able to drive vehicles (other then a boat) and get into car chases in the big open maps that the game puts you in.

The thing is, American Psycho already has a great adaptation that doesn’t need modern filmmaking techniques because it’s not that old and still holds up really well.
Suspiria takes the original’s concept and creates a more cohesive movie without disrespecting or trying to replace the original.
I just can’t see that happening with this movie.
I know it’s a book, so it’s technically an adaptation and not a remake, but everything I said still stands.

jujubunicorn I agree with everything but I actually really liked the voice acting. Maybe it's just cause I'm comparing it to the original which, while charming, is not very good.I agree with everything but I actually really liked the voice acting. I'm surprised by how well it's aged actually. I don't really know what's from the remaster. I believe it only did visuals but it may have done sounds too.
Anyway the sounds and feel of the guns is actually really good, the animations for said guns are less so but they are forgivable.
The story is pretty mediocre, mostly carried by pretty good characters and the really amazing gameplay.
I'm surprised how the map doesn't become that boring considering that it's basically a desert the entire time. Mad Max also did a good job at this so maybe deserts are easier to make interesting then I thought.

But that's the kinda politics I actually don't mind being a part of. The kind I dislike being a part of is the online flame wars and crazy news stories. I don't think you really gain anything by not interacting with those. Other than maybe have a less informed vote.

It's almost universally acclaimed but I would be interested to see the reviewers you see not like it.
Also I think Gen Z has a healthy amount of Gen Z fans from their Gen X parents showing them.
