The Blue Album is first, and was an incredible debut. Catchy singles and the other tracks are great. Weezer was a big deal.

Then they released Pinkerton, which Rolling Stone called the worst album of the year (they later re-reviewed the album). It's different, but still really good. But due in part to the terrible reception Pinkerton got, Weezer went on hiatus and one of the founding members left for good (Matt Sharpe - check out the Rentals).

Anyway, after some time, Weezer came back with the Green Album. At this point, a lot of people bailed on them. But I personally like the Green Album, and enjoyed the subsequent releases.

But then they started releasing stuff really frequently, and I got older and busier with life stuff, and haven't kept up. So I can't comment on their newer stuff. The last single I listened to had a very weird rap break, and I hated it.

This comment got away from me, sorry. The point is, start with the Blue Album and have fun!

I tried an open source alternative (sorry, can't remember what it was), but it was terribly slow. A day later I was back on Pocket Casts and have been loving it.

I was going to recommend Godspeed You! Black Emperor, but you've probably heard them if you like Explosions in the Sky. What about Ratatat? It's more uptempo and sort of hip-hop related, but good...

What about Ratatat? It's more uptempo and sort of hip-hop related, but good for background music.

I prefer when they riff 80s and 90s movies as opposed to the 50s and 60s monster movies. For some reason I just can't get into them. That's why I'm mostly a Rifftrax guy, and am a Mike guy for MST3K. However, in the latest season 12 update from Joel, he said they were doing a movie that's been released in the last five years, so I'm really excited about that.

Peep Show is on my Mount Rushmore of comedy. It's extremely funny.

Loved Isaac. I was able to 1001% or whatever Rebirth, but haven't gone back to try and complete the latest expansion (with Delirium).

Hey, I'm lucha26k, a new username I made for this site. In my 30s, married, and father of a toddler.

I work from home, so I have my son all day. Which is awesome and rough. But mostly awesome. I like sports, music, movies, video games, all that stuff. Big fan of MST3K/Rifftrax.

I'm here because I was frustrated with Reddit's low effort, meme-driven content, along with the negativity. I was also just wasting time on Reddit, as opposed to actually being engaged in the content.

I hope you have a great day!

But if you don't dig his style you probably won't dig the podcast, either.

I'm about to start Vacationland by John Hodgman. I just started listening to his podcast Judge John Hodgman which is really good, so I'm excited to read something from him.
