michicachan999 LinkThe only other "social media" I use is Twitter. While there are a lot of things I find particularly annoying about the site, I have personally gained a lot of positives out of it. I follow a lot...The only other "social media" I use is Twitter. While there are a lot of things I find particularly annoying about the site, I have personally gained a lot of positives out of it. I follow a lot of people outside of my culture, and this has allowed me to see lots of different views and opinions about how other people's worlds work. Especially in other countries I have never been to. It makes me feel connected to those outside of my own community bubble. It has also led to some great conversations with random people; real dialogue I've never experienced on Facebook (my FB has been deactivated for 5 years now).
I also follow a lot of artists, and so it has become a hub of great art to peruse and purchase, which has brought a lot of joy to my life. A lot of those artists rely on social media to become known, so it's a benefit for them too.
It's a good way for me to keep up with what is being published by the magazines/newspapers/radio/podcasts I consume. I also follow my city's Twitter account, so I get easily accessible updates on things like new projects the city is starting, local environmental issues, board meetings, job listings, boil-water advisories, etc.
I have two accounts. One I call my "bullshitting" account, where I'm relatively anon, where I retweet spicy memes and hot takes. The other one is my "business" account, where I connect with colleagues and my supervisors, and retweet very professional things. Twitter is a very useful tool in my field of work.
Lastly, Twitter has allowed me to take real-life action following the internet rage over injustices in the world. I have participated in a handful of rallies/marches this year alone (even those that are about very local issues) because they were made known through Twitter. I would not have known about them/been inspired to join if it weren't for that. Congresspeople use Twitter heavily, so I'm able to track what they are doing almost on a daily basis to aid or hurt the community.
So, I probably won't be leaving Twitter anytime soon because it has been an overall net positive for me.

It will easily remain one of my favorites for a loooooong time. You'll continually think to yourself "There's no way this game is only $15?? How??" Some people easily dump 100+ hrs into the game, and you'll never want it to end x-x

Two days ago she came over with her kid, and she fell asleep on the couch while I tried to entertain a 4 year old for several hours. She left shortly after waking up.I don't know what to make of this, but this is how our friendship is now.

michicachan999 Link Parentshrug I pay for Spotify, so it's in my personal interest to have access to as much content I can get on there. A lot of what I listen to stems from publicly funded content anyway, like NPR and...shrug I pay for Spotify, so it's in my personal interest to have access to as much content I can get on there. I guess a work-around would be to convert podcast mp3s from other platforms over to my Spotify local library, just so I have everything in one place.

Not that the RSPO is the best standard, but if Nestle can't even reach THAT, then they should never claim they're concerned about the source of their PO.
I know that it's difficult and more expensive to buy things that don't contain PO, but I highly encourage to reduce consumption of it. Making home-cooked meals with raw ingredients (not packaged and without the use of vegetable oil) has reduced my usage pretty completely, although it is more time consuming than throwing a TV dinner in the microwave. I've also found replacement brands for toothpaste, shampoo, and dishwashing soap that don't contain PO, they've been working well for over a year now. If you're interested in knowing these brands, let me know.

This person is obviously very superior to anyone who doesn't know "how to reticulate splines using a hexagonal decode system so that I can build a GUI in Visual Basic and track an IP Address", and will definitely continue to make fast friends with whomever picks up on their annoyance when doing their job.
