Is this much? It's certainly the easiest stuff I could cut without having a significant impact on my life - when I went vegan I ended up feeling like shit as a result (after around 4 months), clearly I wasn't having the best diet because of it, and I didn't have the time to improve it.

Libraries do look at statistics of which books people read as an indicator of what books to purchase later on; by reading an author it is more likely that the library with purchase more works by them (potentially also libraries around them, due to the way the catalogue statistics are shared between neighbourhood libraries, but perhaps that's just a thing that happens in my neck of the woods).
Though, I did explicitly pirate some music of an artist due to criminal things they did, so as to stop me from listening to them on Spotify resulting in me not financially supporting them anymore. I still listen to the music, but it carries a bad taste in my mouth.

We're at the point that ecosystems are so entrenched and there is a such an inertia to move platforms that the fault can't exactly lie in the consumer.
Even for someone so involved in tech, it is rather difficult to avoid Google - what's the libre equivalent of Captcha? It's too easy for a web developer to use Google Analytics rather than self-host Piwik for inferior results - try explaining that one to management.

However, having grown up with search engines, I've tuned my search term choice to suit what it was like in the past. Unfortunately, this style isn't as effective with Google anymore - I've certainly noticed a decline in me being able to find pertinent sites. Google does optimise itself with use, so I suppose some of this is because I haven't been using it as much, so it can't read my mind too well.
I'm pretty happy with DDG at the moment, its proven really good for my usage.

The latter makes sense as the guns are typically used for pest control.
However, I'm still against them, as the threat they can pose is greater than their utility in my opinion. (Also from Australia, but from the country so a fair few of my neighbours use guns for pests)

It would offer a larger stream of revenue for Spotify, and potentially for the artists too for it to be an incentive to join.
We're seeing Spotify try to position itself as the home for Music, where they offer concerts, merch, lyrics in the whole ecosystem. Obviously if Spotify tries to poach artists directly from the labels, they'll likely suffer recourse, but I can totally see them doing this to try and finally make some profits.
Apple Music? I'm surprised iTunes didn't do this earlier, so there must be something I'm missing. Any ideas?

I'm not sure what the breakdown used to be back in the day (i.e. CD/Vinyl era) though.
Spotify also advertises upcoming concerts for the bands, which isn't bad.

There's only 3 places to need to change it in the config (most likely ~/.config/i3/config):
- one where it says change focus ($mod+j etc.)
- one where it says move focused window ($mod+Shift+j etc.)
- and one in the resizing block (mode "resize")

I'm thinking of downsampling my collection to 192-256kbps opus just so I can fit more songs on my laptop. Oooor, just insert some more space onto this thing.
How much money do you see yourself spending on the equipment?

It really was a cost effective building material, and quite fire retardant. It's really a shame that we end up having these materials endemic through generations, then the effects start showing up too late. I guess we had a similar situation with CFCs quite recently too.

My tips? Do your research on the judges, it will most likely be the case that they're not too technically strong and won't really understand the work required to implement the backend. Hackathons are more of a way to try and develop a really strong pitch, rather than having a concrete product. I'd recommend just making a faux-demo (with some implementation, mind you), and make it look really kick-ass!
p.s.: from what i see your skills are, it looks like you'll do pretty darn well at it

And sorta, it was a blockchain hackathon, so just involved making an application that interacted with a blockchain, with the aim of `empowering the public to do environmental good'. We ended up making a neopets-like site, where you adopt animals (with tokens), who require feeding and maintenance that are in turn powered by microtransactions. So, essentially sponsor a child, but for animals and on the blockchain - so that the environmental organisations can divert funds to the ones that are most popular. We didn't end up winning (nor being a finalist), but we were pretty happy with the end result!

Naturally that is an equilibrium of cost of computational power and the reward from mining a current block. If demand goes up, the PoW is independent of that as its independent of the content of that block.
- However! If the usage goes up, the price will likely go up too, and as such increase the reward so that more hardware can be put forward to mine the currency.

Baba Is You has treated me fantastically so far! It really is a brilliantly designed game.
I'm probably time-wise halfway through, I nearly have "completed" (as in earned the big flowers) all the areas, and have 100%'d the first two. Some of the tricks required to get you to solve them truly are fiendish.
The sound track is brilliant too!
