I was playing Red Dead Redemption on my Xbox, but I got Black Ops 6 last Thursday and I've been having an absolute blast. It's like the Modern Warfare remake from 2018: you know this will be the best Call of Duty for a while.

The multiplayer maps are fun, the game doesn't have issues I've noticed, the campaign is entertaining and not just "shoot and run to the objective," and the graphics are beautiful even on my 2016 Xbox One S. I am truly loving this game and I have put quite a few hours into it already. I'm playing RDR when I get bored, but that's taking the backseat for now as I get my CoD fix.

I finally finished Watch Dogs 2 last week after having bought it 6 years ago. After a bit of a lull, I've finally gotten absorbed into another game: Red Dead Redemption. I am loving it so far, although having to make a campfire that ISN'T in a town, settlement, or occupied area just to fast travel is stupid. I'd prefer being able to go to the map and selecting a location and being able to fast travel.

I also don't see much of the story so far. I'm doing what seem like side quests as I wait for more of Bonnie's bullshit to open up. I hate her missions because most of them are dumb shit like herding cows or capturing horses. But the last mission with her had me rescuing her from a gang that tried hanging her. That was interesting, but I want to do more of the main story quests. Having a choice rather than doing what I think I have to with other characters (an old guy who scams people and a crazy guy named Irish) would make me feel better.

I'm still enjoying the game though.

Yes, I skipped voting in 2012 but I voted for Trump in 2016 and 2020. I simply don't see myself going back to the Republican Party. I am no longer a Christian and I do not like the government overreach they want in the name of Christianity (anti-abortion, Project 2025, anti-LBGTQ people). I am fiscally conservative but I think Kamala will do better for the LBGTQ community, women, and not letting the pharmaceutical industry get away with everything. I hear Trump wants to take away Medicare's ability to negotiate drug prices. Fuck that.

After countless hours, I finally beat Fallout 4 (PS5). I loved it. I completed nearly every side quest, romanced Cait, and I couldn't find more to do in the game without paying for the DLC. I felt bad having to put it down.

So, I've started Fallout: New Vegas (X360). Everyone said it was the best and to play it last, so here I am. I just got to Primm and I can say the story is already more interesting than 3 or 4's story.

I've also started Watch_Dogs 2 (PS4) as I've been meaning to play it since 2018 (when I first got it) but neglected to for six years. It's all right so far.

I finished Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown yesterday. It is a fantastic game and a wonderful metroidvania. It reminds me of the Castlevania franchise but a little more light-hearted and non-gothic. The game took me 28.5 hours to beat (I did a lot of side stuff), but I didn't 100% because that involves completing "trials" which are unbelievably difficult and some seem nigh-impossible. For instance, one challenge involves you beating all bosses in succession without getting hit. I said fuck it.

However, I went and got the new DLC for it and I hated it. It only cost $4.99, but it was noticeably more difficult than the base game. It isn't hard like the trials I needed to complete to 100% the game, but it definitely was made with the idea of trial-and-error to get through numerous sections. Maybe they wanted it to be more challenging as the devs thought the game was too easy, maybe they did this to make the DLC seem longer. Either way, it was a waste of money and I dropped it. I've now resumed Fallout 4 and I intend to complete it now after a month-long break.

Saw VI has just the most intensity of any of the Saw films. The last three to five minutes of the film are the most intense I've ever seen in cinema at all. It has good traps, a compelling protagonist with actual depth to his character, and multiple storylines that all come together in a fucking insane climax to the film. The film briefly touches on the U.S. healthcare system and its for-profit nature as well.

Further, it literally made fans retroactively reassess how they feel about IV and V. They were disliked when they came out, but VI changed the general consensus on them. After bad Saw films since III, VI was a surprise and a breath of fresh air. It set everything up perfectly for VII, only for that film to be one of the worst films to ever be made, IMO.

I am not doing too well at the moment. After years of waiting to get health insurance to cover it, I finally had autism testing done to determine if I'm autistic. Unfortunately, the doctor who administered the tests didn't tell me that if I am diagnosed with autism, severe anxiety, ADHD, etc. (neurodivergence) that I would lose my current therapist who I love and adore as a therapist (i.e., non-romantically) and whom I have confided some deep dark secrets about myself to.

Unfortunately, she dropped me as a client yesterday stating that I need help she is unable to provide and that I need a specialist. While I do not have my results yet, the doctor does and he likely shared the results with her. All of her recommendations for specialists were for autism specialists. I got a list in an email and her saying I'm no longer her client, and that she won't respond to any messages I may try to send her. I've essentially been abandoned and it makes me feel hurt, lost, scared, and alone. That has been giving me bad anxiety since yesterday as I have no friends and no one to really talk to.

Ethically and legally, as she is not a specialist in autism she cannot provide care for me as it would not help me. It likely isn't something she wanted to do, but she had to. But fuck do I feel awful losing her. She truly was the best therapist there ever was, and no one will ever come close to her. After spending 5 months talking to her about some major problems I've had, I don't feel like going through it again with another therapist. I feel anxious and a bit depressed because I'll never get to talk to her again either. She truly has a place in my heart for all of the help she's given me, and it feels miserable, unbearable, and almost a bit surreal to know she's gone. It's like she's dead...

I just wish I at least got a session or two more with her so I could transition to a new counselor instead of just being dropped like I was. I'm truly going to miss her.

Currently working on Fallout 3. I got to Galaxy News Radio and left with the Fat Man. Now I'm once again traveling through tunnels trying to get to a museum. My issue is that every enemy in this game kills me so easily. My weapons are shit, my health and my ammo are low, and running past the bad guys only works for so long. I need to get more powerful but it is so easy to die. It frustrates me.

The issue with this (besides how dangerous it is and how close it was to killing Trump) is that Trump simply does not NEED the boost in the polls. Ever since the debate, AP News and CNN have been talking nonstop about Democrats panicking over Biden's age and the insiders who want him replaced. Biden has been doing piss poor while Trump simply relaxed for a week or two and let the disaster regarding Biden's ability to serve continue damaging him in the press.

Again, this hit Trump in the ear. One inch to the right direction could've started a civil war in this country. That's a dangerous risk to take for a false flag/staged assassination attempt.

Even without him raising his fist to the air, an assassination attempt will really probably boost him in the polls. I dislike him and Biden, and even I feel sorry for the guy right now.

I forgot to write about that. I completely agree. I've read stories about people who work in gun stores and have to deny selling a gun because the person is obviously depressed (can be seen on customer's face). This will definitely increase suicides by gunshot. On the other hand, the situations I heard of were for customers buying a gun, not just the ammo. How many people would own a gun without any ammo?

In my personal opinion, it does sound crazy at first. As people I play board games with mentioned, it sounds like Fallout minus the 50s aesthetic and bottle caps as currency. On the other hand, grocery stores (namely Walmart) already do sell guns and ammo, so it isn't actually that new of a concept. I think the aspect of it being in a vending machine is what surprises people. The U.S. is not like Japan where they have vending machines for anything and everything.

This also will verify a customer's identity with numerous methods, so it seems secure in that sense. I don't see a 16 year old successfully buying something from one of these without assistance from someone else. Considering the precautions, I honestly don't think it'll be that big of an issue. The issue I do see is: how secure is it? Can someone break into it and steal ammo? Is it in a secure location in a store?

A company has installed computerized vending machines to sell ammunition in grocery stores in Alabama, Oklahoma and Texas, allowing patrons to pick up bullets along with a gallon of milk.

“People I think got shocked when they thought about the idea of selling ammo at a grocery store,” Magers said. “But as we explained, how is that any different than Walmart?”

American Rounds said their machines use an identification scanner and facial recognition software to verify the purchaser’s age and are as “quick and easy” to use as a computer tablet. But advocates worry that selling bullets out of vending machines will lead to more shootings in the U.S., where gun violence killed at least 33 people on Independence Day alone.

“Innovations that make ammunition sales more secure via facial recognition, age verification, and the tracking of serial sales are promising safety measures that belong in gun stores, not in the place where you buy your kids milk,” said Nick Suplina, senior vice president for law and policy at Everytown for Gun Safety.

The machine works by requiring a customer to scan their driver’s license to validate that they are age 21 or older. The scan also checks that it is a valid license, he said. That is followed by a facial recognition scan to verify “you are who you are saying you are as a consumer,” he said.

Vending machines for bullets or other age-restricted materials is not an entirely new idea. Companies have developed similar technology to sell alcoholic beverages. A company has marketed automated kiosks to sell cannabis products in dispensaries in states where marijuana is legal.
