I'm think this would be a perfect addition to my Bliss-box 4-Play, especially when firmware 3.0 comes out!

Funny haha, or funny sad? It seems like the reasoning for using FPGAs is for cycle accurate emulation and preservation. If they can write how the consoles worked in software, then there would be zero difference between a software simulation and the real deal, thus ending up with perfect gameplay and preserving the system itself as software.

I have been using emulators for decades now, but the retro gaming community is really hyping this solution. Are they missing something? Off base with their ideas? Or is it funny that niche group would happen to stumble on this?

I can't think of other in-depth channels related to consoles, I do like reading about how emulators get around weird quirks. Edge of Emulation and some articles from the mGBA dev are great.

Definitely let me know your thoughts if you get a chance to play. I long ago gave up on JRPGs doing anything different, so I always enter with a very low bar. So long as the story is somewhat interesting or the gameplay isn't an endless grind, I'm usually pretty happy.

I did sink 90-ish hours into Octopath Traveller, after all.

Looks like it dropped on Switch yesterday! I went ahead and bought it on Steam since I got a 75% discount, but I may have to double dip just for a portable version.

Easy enough to say that, but they were tracking what type of calories they ate, made sure they were eating healthy foods that would satisfy them (to avoid snacking looking for satisfaction), and exercised regularly to burn the energy they were consuming.

    Anyone else picking this up?

Season 2 by Pizzagirl. The catchiness of pop mixed with the nostalgia of vaporwave. Gymnasium is one of those songs that just gets stuck in your head.
