Could we have a feature of easier hiding/ignoring posts?
I'm a huge blocker and hider of stuff i'm not interested in, and the default action of hitting More actions, then ignore posts is super janky and long winded en-masse. Would be great!

Thank you for your efforts. Enjoying Lemmy.world for my dumb dumb stuff (when it works) and now I can fully enjoy the more refined tildes ;)
edit: Yeah, an app is so much nicer than the PC. Lots of good visuals for new posts, hold-to-ignore (mmmm!). Really good shit man, well done.

I played 05 WoW and that journey was epic, I also played a private server in 2018 (too impatient for classic lol) and it also held up, made the same kinda friends too.
Retail was….nowhere near as bad as people said for years, but the exp pack at the time was…let’s just say interesting (shadowlands).
I reached max and realised doing any old content was pointless, I like questing and enjoying a zones vibe. That is NO longer WoW. It’s simply a 3rd person ARPG dungeon game with extra steps.
Guild wars 2 on the other hand, while it takes a bit of mental rewiring, has a massive amount of time-respecting things.
Account bound unlocks! All gold/crafting mats are shared between toons. Along with Mount unlocks and their respective skills for them (Masteries).
Map exploration while at first I was like ‘yeah whatever’ turned out to be my favourite thing. You clear the map and get xp and rewards for doing so - which makes exploring useful. The waypoints on the map makes for ez traversal once you’ve unlocked them too.
It’s just chill man. Plus gearing is DONE pretty quick once you hit 80. Other than some high end dungeons (fractals) your 80 exotic gear can do ALL content.
You can tweak gear with Armor runes and weapon sigils, along with Ascended and Legendary gear for some QoL / gear chasing but the power gain is very small.
There’s no dungeon grinding for that constant tiny chance of ONE bit of gear like in WoW.
My time with retail WoW was largely a ghost town, which made me sad because vanilla wow was bustling!
GW2 brings that back with mega servers for your region (EU/NA). I kid you not, pretty much everywhere is full of people at all times. Hell I play NA in the UK and in MY morning there’s shitloads of people around, it’s great.
This is also because level scaling is in effect, and special events happen around the world which keeps all zones somewhat relevant.
It’s kinda like a MMO dragon chasers retirement game. You’ve experienced the lame shit of other MMOs now you’ve found your happy place to take things at your own pace 🤣

I liked how bulshy Steve Schrippa is, but then again I have a soft spot for that wiseguy archetype, some might find him abrasive. He goes off on a recurring 'fan' who always brings up conspiracies...funny shit.

Imagine a modern game WWII game that lets you play lots of cool maps with bots [also can co-op], along with a lot of cool features for such a small scale dev game.
The graphics aren't horrible as such, but the presentation is certainly still a bit raw. Well worth it for those WWII game fans and offline/bot kinda fun enjoyers.

As soon as we hit Tier 4 and did a bit of Nightmare dungeons and the whispers stuff, we kinda hit a wall because there's not much to aim for so to speak. As an MMORPG player, I need a good long term go.
Having enjoyed D4 I've since installed Path of Exile which seems to be the multiple thousand hour game. So far so good, it's a lot more deliberate so far which is cool. I like how the gem sockets give you actual skills and you're not stuck with a classes stuck abilities.

I've only seen a couple of eps but ODDTAXI is shaping up to be really cool too. I love the grounded animes with somewhat deadpan / lower energy interactions.

This works GREAT in the winter but during this time of year....I've had to introduce the 'window meta!'.
Close the airbricks and windows in the morning and keep em shut til the night time, it helps a little. It's still brutal, but can mean a couple of C-degrees less than if you had the windows open all day. I mean; it's a good problem to have but doesn't make the summer any less of a bitch.
For a 2017 house, other than some leaky taps and toilet push button flushers that like to keep gushing water [requires a tap after flushing, annoying] it's pretty good.
I've noticed various cracks forming around window sills and in various plastering which I can only chalk up to it being your standard new-build style of construction materials used. Combi boiler is so clutch when it comes to baths in the winter.
