I'm not sure what I'd use an AI at home for.
I use copilot at work sometimes to make it do VBA or mvc bootstrap because I dislike both of those and it does a good enough job, much faster than I would for sure.What I find annoying is spaces where I feel like it could be used but clearly isn't. I drive on the same highways EVERY time I drive home from a certain frequent direction. Google maps ALWAYS wants me to take the first exit I can and go down some shitty side road that claims to be 1 minute faster. That side road has like 10 stop signs where as the route I always take is just another highway with 2 stop lights that are green more often than not but maybe slightly more distance miles wise. Why can google not recognize that I took that side path once and literally never again and stop telling me to go that way.
Another, is there a general android interface ai yet? Is there something I can say "hey phone play [specific album] in musicolet" (my preferred music application) I know this used to be a thing when google music and you had uploaded things to it. Instead of posting not knowing I tried it. I reenabled gemini and it said it couldn't. Useless. Absolutely useless.

I canceled my nitro because I don't support the path discord is headed down and I'll be looking for alternatives as time goes on but there's seemingly no rush because it won't effect me much. I quit paying for nitro yearly last year when they switched ceo's and the started IPO rumors started. If something gets in my way, I am definitely going to try garrys mod or vrchat as the face bypass, and I bet you could easily AI generate a drivers license that the software would believe.

I miss being able to run a server in my home closet.

We consistently didn't get notifications on mobile which was a deal breaker for a communications app. And the self-hosting of it was not good and we couldn't get it to work at the time. Again I assume that is hopefully better. For sure may be something to look into.

One general yapping group chat (with some other members in it), one for the main software product we maintain, and a third for video game related yapping. It works great. Voice calls / screen shares seem to always work. Much better than skype used to.

Not thrilled if they do, but I suppose it is inevitable. Hopefully they're slow with the enshittification because teamspeak v5/v6 doesn't have server files yet because its super beta.
I hate how comfortable discord is too, it provides an unrivaled experience. I sit every day in vc with friends just streaming whatever I'm playing, or sometimes watch podcasts with my brother. It's going to be a great loss if/when it really does kill itself. So many communities use it for everything. I've been paying for nitro for some time to hope I could help scare this end off, but it's got way too many users for me to even make a dent.

Yeah and their credit card that gives you 3% on paypal purchases is pretty nice. Beats my citi double cash that's only 2%. I've yet to have issues with paypal in all of my years of use but that's probably because I'm not selling things or storing any sums of money in my account. That's when the trouble starts seemingly.
