Some specific assets look unmistakably AI-generated to me, especially the artwork I mentioned. I can't verify how those assets were made, so I don't present it as a proven fact. But I also don't think discussing what's visible in the game is a witch hunt.
I'm enjoying the game and, like I said, plan to keep playing it so I don't see the problem on discussing this.

Despite the game actually feeling smooth to play and checking a lot of the needs for a game lika that, the fact that they're lying or trying to hide the usage of these tools is pretty shady.

There's an open world to explore, and you can play casually or go completely bananas with optimization and min-maxing if you want to farm day and night. As far as I can tell, you can play entirely F2P or pay your way through to the top, much like Genshin. I haven’t found any content that’s strictly paywalled, though I could be wrong.
It also has some Zelda-like puzzle mechanics. For example, you can use an ice-type creature to freeze water, then move the frozen slabs around to build a ramp. I hate to say it's entertaining to play, and the smooth look and feel probably make it more approachable for some people, even if the designs do look pretty generic. The NPCs and dialogue are soulless and generic, but the creatures surprisingly seem to have distinct personalities, and for a game that is kind of only about the creatures I guess it does make sense.

I've been playing Aniimo for a bit. The gameplay is fun, but some of the artwork looks blatantly AI generated to me. I've seen images with double headed animals and wheat that seems to disappear. Maybe those are placeholders, but the dialogue, some creature and NPC designs, and even the voiceacting set off my spidey sense too.
The developers claim they don't use generative AI for creating the characters, world and story, but haven't been clear about where they do and don't use it specifically as far as I know. Is it as obvious to anyone else as it is to me? Has anyone found clearer evidence either way?
I may keep playing because it's fun, but I won't spend a single bit of my money on it. The fact that it feels like a Genshin rip-off makes the whole thing kind of funny, too.

I remember being excitedwhen it got anounced since I was a huge Assassins creed fan so bringing a similar fantasy but futuristic, with hacking and what not sounded fun but then the gameplay didn't seem engaging enough so never really got around to buy it, now it's like 2€ on steam so I may actually get it.

Real answer: I'm a sucker for actual open-world games with satisfying ways to move around. That could be GTA-style traversal with cars, motorbikes, planes, etc. something like Marvel's Spider-Man 2 with really fun movement, or ideally even a mix of both.
Story-wise, I'd want something meaningful and well-written, but still easy to follow. I don't want Dark Souls levels of ambiguity, where you have to find some random item in the most remote corner of the map and read its description just to understand an important part of the story. But I also don't want something as simplistic as GTA missions that can sometimes basically boil down to "go here and shoot people".
Basically, I want a story that's entertaining and engaging all the way through, while still being simple enough for most people to understand without needing hours of cutscenes, dialogue, or outside lore explanations.
After thinking about all of that, Scrap Mechanic actually came to mind as one of the closest games to what I'd consider my dream game. It's already one of my favorite games, and I love the amount of freedom it gives you, but its world has always felt a bit too empty and the gameplay can get really repetitive.
The Chapter 2 update has definitely helped with some of that, though. There are more enemies, more structures to find, and the whole underground area adds a lot more to explore, so the world feels more populated and varied than before. But even with those improvements, I still feel like it has that underlying problem of eventually becoming repetitive and not always giving you enough interesting things to do with such a huge amount of freedom.
I'm not even completely sure how I'd fix that, but it's kind of cool that a game already exists that gets surprisingly close to the sort of "perfect game" I had in my head.

Seven years is well above how long the average person keeps a phone, but it still seems a little at odds with their whole longevity and repairability pitch. If you actually keep the phone for seven years, you might only need to replace the battery once during that time, and maybe one or two other parts depending on how heavily you use it.

I do work on a field where LLMs are on every day conversations but even people around me who is outside of this field are also talking about it frequently, editing pictures with it, asking them to adapt recipe portions instead of just doing the math, even using it to tell you the weather... so I think ultimately depends on your circle, I'm on the younger side, so I assume people around me are more attracted to use these tools.

That said,...Contrary to what seems to be the norm here, I've never really enjoyed story-driven games, not GTA or any other game where I have to keep track of a bunch of characters and plotlines. That said, GTA V was one of the first games I completed, and I think that's because as far as story go, this one is fairly simple while the gameplay feels smooth and satisfying.
The cars are as responsive as they can be (most of them, anyway). The driving is simple and arcadey, but it has some game-specific mechanics that are fun to learn. The guns all have their own personality, they sound amazing and feel great to shoot. Planes are incredibly fun to mess around with, the world itself feels alive, and there are a million side missions to play whenever you don't feel like continuing the main story, and this was amplified by the hundreds in RDR2 by the way, that game I did finish the story a couple dozen times already while the online is just super annoying to play.
I've spent more time in GTA Online than in every other GTA game combined. Again, that seems to go against the general opinion here. I'm a very competitive person, so getting destroyed by some random kid with the latest overpowered weapon, car, or flying motorbike didn't make me want to quit, it made me want to improve, learn how to deal with whatever ridiculous thing Rockstar added next, and grind enough money to buy it myself if necessary.
Nowadays, I mostly enjoy driving around the map, doing my own thing, and occasionally playing Batman. If I see a high-level player bullying someone, or random players whose only goal is to ruin everyone else's experience, I start killing them until they leave the lobby. Honestly, that's about as satisfying as this game gets for me.

I mostly use Tildes during my breaks at work (don't tell my boss I'm here) where the office lighting is really bright. At home it's way dimmer, so I use dark mode almost exclusively.

I have definitely noticed that if I hold the trigger for a little too long, though, the bullets start going absolutely everywhere but I thought it was a Machine guns thing rather than an actual mechanic.
With KB you can hit TAB (by default, unless you rebound it) to bring up your wheel and hit C (again, by default) to consume snacks and V to equip armor.
I actually didn't know this! I vaguely remembered something like that being added, but I wasn't very active around the time that update came out, so I never really got used to it. That's definitely useful info and I'll have to start doing that instead.
And yeah, I aim almost exclusively zoomed in already lol. I'm getting old.

I feel like I have a lot more control over exactly where I'm aiming and which target I'm going for.
I did play with a controller back in the PS3/PS4 days, though, and I remember how satisfying it was to just hold the aim button, flick the stick up, and land perfect headshots over and over.
These days I mostly use the controller for driving and navigating menus, since both feel much easier that way. Snacks are a perfect example: with a mouse, you have to precisely click through three tiny-ass buttons, while on controller you can basically just spam X (A on Xbox). Much less hassle when you're getting shot at.

I understand why it may sound like that. I could probably have worded my post in a way that felt less accusatory. I tend to be direct, but I can see how it came across here.
I'm enjoying the game, but I personally wouldn't feel good spending money on it if its art wasn't made by artists. Based on what I've seen, I suspect some of it wasn't, but I don't know for certain how much of it's development is. That's why I wanted to hear what other people thought.
