However, he has some criticism of other platforms that I also take issue with. Such as corporate Democrats that are obviously feckless and captured by big business (like Schumer).
I don't know if I necessarily disagree with him, that I find it more likely for Gail Slater to "possibly" do Antitrust than I expect corporate Democrats to do it.
However that being said, I think I'm left with some thoughts:
- Why say anything at all? It was stupid for Proton to even state a political position.
- I don't really think his opinion was "wrong" so much as it was, pointless? Like it's a non-falsifiable claim and there's not really a point in making it? I think everyone knows that both Republicans at large and Corporate Democrats are NOT going to be doing any serious attempts at reform.
- If he really wants Antitrust and wants to put his "money where is mouth his" he should be tossing his lot with the one group that might actually do something about it in the U.S., which is the left-wing of the Democrats, the Democratic Socialists. But a businessman will never align with a "socialist" party lol.

I've been debating picking up some small features here and there as I am a dev, and trying to contribute.
Are we saying here that we don't have any intentions to let net new features be developed by community members? (I'm not implying this is wrong, I just want clarification so I can stop and not waste my time with what I've been working on the side).

Tukajo Link ParentI have since beaten the game. The point wasn't that you were wrong, the point was that it was a wee bit inconsiderate to spoil a big plot point of the game. Not everyone sits in the title screen. And the initial star explosion does not immediately lead one to conclude the whole universe is ending.

It's crazy to me how I feel like for the last decade I've been taking crazy pills. Nobody seems to care about sense, kindness, cooperation, or thoughtfulness.
My hopefulness lies in seeing most people I know, regardless of political leanings, as being disgusted by this. I hope a day of reckoning comes soon. I do hope a day comes where justice is served as well.
I hope since it's been so long, things will come back around soon. Wishful thinking I suppose.

I don't know how far along I am but I've been thoroughly enjoying it. My wife and I have gotten into the groove of having nightly play sessions. I don't know if this is the way it's "supposed to be played", but it's been very enjoyable and I can see why it was so highly praised.
I find myself thinking about the puzzles and storyline throughout my entire day, and excited for the next time my wife and I can sit down to play.
Obviously please don't spoil anything for me.

Maybe that's a bit too dark, but it feels as if there isn't much to be done besides hunker down and harden with friends and build strong community.

As somebody who has both worked in tech, is a gamer, and has worked with AI on my local devices, I don't see prices coming down any time soon.
I bought a 3090 TI in 2022, and since my initial purchase, the price of my graphics card has doubled.
None of this is to say that you shouldn't try to get a nice computer, but I'll be frank and say that it's going to be very difficult to get something that can push 4K frames at a very decent rate in ultra settings on the latest games.
I think it is a great idea to accept the 3070 from your friend if he's genuinely willing to do that.
I have not tried them, but I've also heard great things from the latest Intel Arc series of GPUs.
I think the prices you've listed are par for the course, but it is kind of sad.
What sort of games do you play? This will dictate heavily what sort of system you need. Personally speaking I don't play anything that's very intensive anymore, mostly games from long ago. So I don't have much system demand.
M.2 generation virtually does not matter at all for most game load times. When a game loads, any vital resources will also be in system memory so it will not matter on that front either. You will probably want at least 16gb of ram. I have 64gb of ddr4, and I never come close to using all of that when gaming. You could probably get away comfortably with 32gb of ddr4 instead of ddr5. If you can find available sticks.
