They're in stock with their new Red Series 2-1 switch and the new Blue 2-1, so you've got the choice of either Zwave or Zigbee today. They have a Zigbee Fan switch and I think the plan is to mirror that with a Zwave offering as well but I don't see it listed, so checking into that.
There is a lot on the upcoming product list and I'd add a few months to any expected timelines if you're interested in one of those just because something always comes up. However for the switches they've got out now, I'd feel very confident with them and I know they're trying to prioritize keeping inventory set.
I think the Zigbee choice was primarily because it was a lot easier to source Zigbee chips during the pandemic than it was with Zwave since there was only a single manufacturer for those. Zigbee is also a larger market, smart bulbs skew a lot more towards Zigbee than Zwave, etc. I started with Zwave and was concerned about wifi interference, but it hasn't been bad at all for me. Just have to set channels up so you don't overlap and you'll be ok.

Home Assistant is fantastic and has gotten far more accessible as time has progressed, but still requires a bit more effort than some of the alternatives. I would definitely consider it worthwhile, but it also depends on the user too :)
For lighting, I'm extremely partial to Inovelli and their light switches (bonus is they're local to you in Michigan). I initially was looking at bulbs, but the cost of replacing all my lights with something like Hue (which now is off the table for me given the forcing users to use their app) was just really high. It doesn't mean replacing all the switches is cheap either, but I don't think you can match Inovelli's features for the price point and their community is fantastic.
Re use cases, a lot of things are covered by what others have already said, but something I really like is using contact sensors on my doors that then turn on the lights when I open them at night. For example, coming home from the store or work when it's dark out, open the door and lights come on in case your hands are full, etc.

Instead of the normal interview type thing over dinner, have you considered seeing if someone wants to do an escape room or similar experience first? That breaks the ice a bit and lets you both see how you work together some, then go grab coffee or something light?

I know for me (similar focus on wanting something serious), it seemed like you really don't see that mindset as often until mid to late twenties or so for most people. There's a lot of desire to just have fun or do certain things in life before 'settling down'. Not sure your age or the age of women you're dating, but I guess trying to say depending on where you fall in on that, it could play a role in the dating pool you're looking at too?
There are a ton of great posts here already and I don't want to take away from them, but I would especially take another look through cinnamontrout and Wolf_359's posts. There's a lot of really good advice in there that resonates with my experience. A couple things in particular are the 'vetting' that goes on via a friend group or just in life around one another as well as just focusing on making friends (and especially more female friends). Wolf's comment about the bar being on the floor matches up with stories I've heard from women in my life as well. Just being a stand up guy and having those friendships is way more likely to help you find someone that you'll actually connect with.

I think for any relationship to really thrive, you need to be able to talk openly and honestly with one another. That doesn't mean throwing tact out the window, and there are certainly good and bad times to bring up different subjects, but as a whole if you're not able to 'be heard' and 'hear' the other person, you're in for a really rough time.
What are you looking for? Do you just want to go on dates and have casual relationships, are you looking for someone for the long-term, do you want to get married? Advice is probably going to vary a lot depending on this as what you want out of it.

That way I can easily enable it and follow conversations, but if I want to highlight certain users with their own labels then I can set them in ReExtended.
Definitely agreed on it being seamless, easy to use and appreciate your work on it!

It's interesting to see how the culture in different sports shifts with time and newer generations picking it up.
Or when the culture can squash potential improvement...I remember a podcast episode talking about underhanded free throws in basketball having a higher success rate but it didn't look as 'cool' and peer pressure resulted in it never really taking off (found an example source).

What are you quoting from? Article 1 Section 5 doesn’t say what you wrote there, and neither of the other articles has a 5th section. If you go to Article 1, Section 3 of the Constitution, then you’ll see exactly what Eji1700 referenced regarding the Senate having the sole power to try all impeachments.
