That title is a bit misleading. "Online shows" makes it sound like shows like Severance or Mid-Century Modern are talking about how great coal is. It's actually talking about "influencer" shows like Joe Rogan or Charlie Kirk. I'm not sure exactly what term I would use instead though. It's not surprising that most of these shows are full of conspiracy theorists and other right wing blowhards.

It's just podcasts as far as I can tell. The real takeaway for me is that right wing propaganda has more than double the interest of left wing reality. Boss, I'm so tired...

Fantasy has always been more palatable than reality.

Pretty much every major podcast these days is also a video show, and the videos are very popular. I don't get the appeal, personally.

Personally, I think natural climate change will have a hard time completely wiping out humanity. We're very adaptable and resourceful. Now, something like a nuclear holocaust probably has a much better chance of wiping all of us out. A quick change that endangers or ruins a large percentage of our food resources will be what does it - not the relatively slow environmental disaster unfolding currently. Don't get me wrong, a lot of people will die in the up coming changes but I don't think it will be an extinction level event.

Again, just my humble uninformed opinion.

Sure humans as a species may live on, but our society is super fragile. It only took like five years of drought to wipe out the Mayan empire. They cant be lords if theres nothing to be a lord of.

I definitely wouldn't assume TV series were included based on the phrase "online shows"! For me that phrase definitely evokes this type of content -- basically podcasts but including online...

When I saw the actual shows in question this became significantly less interesting.
