Just finished watching this one and it seems Keith's experience was similar to mine. Just mediocre. I was always underwhelmed with Buffalo Wild Wings. They pulled out of Canada last year and I have yet to meet a person disappointed by that development.

I didn't realize they had left Canada, but I'm really not surprised or disappointed to hear that either. I only went to BWW once, and I had a similar experience to Keith too. I thought the appetizers were okay, but it's not exactly difficult to make fries, onion rings, mozzarella sticks, and fried pickles. Even Pizza Pizza, a cheap chain pizza place up here, has all those same items of their menu, including wings and chicken tenders, and makes them of similar quality.
The wings at BWW were slightly better than Pizza Pizza, but still super disappointing for a dedicated wing place though. However, pretty much every sports bar I've ever been to, and even most chain restaurants we have up here that offer proper deep fried wings, make far far better ones than BWW, IMO.
I couldn't agree more. We only went there because at the time we didn't know a better place for wings in Hamilton. Boston Pizza has better wings than BWW. That's wild to me. I don't know if BWW is...

I don't know if BWW is better in the states as they will often change the menu and ingredients for us Canadians, but our version was not good.
Based on Keith's experience in this video, I would guess not. :P But a few of the Try Guys' crew said they love BWW, so maybe they just got a shitty batch this time? That's happened before on the...

Based on Keith's experience in this video, I would guess not. :P But a few of the Try Guys' crew said they love BWW, so maybe they just got a shitty batch this time? That's happened before on the show where a restaurant Keith and the crew love had a poor showing, since quality is not always consistent across a chain, and delivery/take-out always makes things worse too. And I suspect some of the issues they had with stuff (like the chicken being super dry, and the hamburger buns being rock hard) were the result of them putting the food under a heat lamp until they were ready to eat it. So ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I have coworkers who like BWWs enough that it's almost a meme that I would ask if we can eat literally anywhere else. I don't hate it, it was just obsessive. But post pandemic our local one has...

I don't hate it, it was just obsessive. But post pandemic our local one has gone from a place that can have food to everyone in 20 minutes to a place that cannot feed a table of 6 over the lunch hour and so the fandom has worn off some.
They're not my favorite wings in town but they were fine. Now they're not my closest option so they're just not even in my head.
Yeah, that makes a huge difference. When I worked 9-5 in an office, if a restaurant was fast enough to get me and all my coworkers food quickly, even if the food was mediocre, my opinion of them...

Yeah, that makes a huge difference. When I worked 9-5 in an office, if a restaurant was fast enough to get me and all my coworkers food quickly, even if the food was mediocre, my opinion of them generally went up a lot. TGI Fridays (or the Canadian equivalent, Jack Astor's), for example; The food was mediocre compared to proper sit-down restaurants, but they were fast, reasonably consistent, and the food was good enough as far as "fast casual" restaurants go. So I would never really complain when people suggested going there. I haven't been back to one since I stopped working in an office though, which says a lot. ;)
Yeah they used to have a fast lunch menu with time guarantees. We have few table service and more fast casual places around campus, I have almost no interest in them when I have other options too....

You're not wrong and definitely that was wise on the Cheesecake Factory's part. BWW wouldn't be the first chain that got big and quality dropped off. Entertaining nonetheless.

LOL. Yeah, the Michelin star ones were a nice change of pace, and I enjoyed them. But I much prefer food-drunk Keith complaining and joking about bad food too. :P But I also really like the ones...

I haven't finished this video yet but I do need to recommend the Would You Rather: Keith or Grant where Dropout's Grant O'Brien comes to decide whether to share his Google search history or show...

I laughed out loud multiple times.
And jokes from this sketch were referenced as a bonus.
I left off around Thai curry so I'm gonna go finish that now

p.s. Concern over all those issues is probably why Cheesecake Factory invited Keith to film at their largest restaurant in LA, and had their regional head chef and their culinary development team cook all the meals for them... which was super smart of the company to do.

For sure. And, in fact, sometimes the worse the food, the more entertaining the video actually is, IMO. :P
Agreed. Like I knew he was going to love everything in the Michelin series. I much prefer delirious full Keith complaining about bad food.

Yeah it's a good way to waste time.
