I was a huge KSP fan for the first two years, loved modding it for realism, Earth-like solar system and better physics, etc.
In 2018, they sold the game to Take-Two and started using a particularly nasty form of spyware called Red Shell , that tracked and reported your personal data and activities, even when you weren't playing the game.
I quit KSP at that point.
Apparently, they stopped using Red Shell after a lot of blowback. And maybe they learned their lesson.
This is something I've got an opinion on, so here's my outlet: The first one was rough, too, and this is a complete rebuild with a different team on a new engine, it's allowed to suck, and it'll...
This is something I've got an opinion on, so here's my outlet: The first one was rough, too, and this is a complete rebuild with a different team on a new engine, it's allowed to suck, and it'll probably be about four years before we get a gold release.
After the video, expecting it to be more negative: Yup. It's going to take time, and they most likely did need money to keep developing, but it will probably be the sequel we want. I thought we'd get a full KSP2, but knowing they went early access, I bought what I expected, even if I was unhappy it was $50.
Well, at least a newer version of the same engine. Both are using Unity. OSP looks cool. I can also recommend Juno: New Origins (previously SimpleRockets 2).

I'll look into Juno, apparently it's the same folks who did SimplePlanes, which is great. I didn't know the first KSP was Unity, too, that explains how they have some if the same bugs, that people...

But I've never trusted the game since then.
