What are some Minecraft content creators that you enjoy watching?
Personally, I would recommend Pixlriffs. A few days ago, he has started a new season of his Minecraft Survival Guide series coinciding with the release of Minecraft 1.20. The series goes over each step, including the basic ones, to get yourself started and beyond on a Minecraft world. Here is a direct link to the start of season 3 inside a playlist. If you are a new or returning player to the game, I think it's a very nice resource to get the hang of it.
The channel has been going for quite a few years now so there's a lot of content to watch, including a separate channel that he handles the writing and narration for dedicated to recapping the event of the Hermitcraft multiplayer server. The Hermitcraft players are themselves content creators I'd recommend checking out.
The two I've stuck with over the years are Etho (a technical player) and Bdubs (a builder).
(I'm linking to playlists that I think are good intros to the creator's content.)
I recently binged Zedaph and his stuff is great, scratches a similar itch as Etho's content. The potion systems he's made over the years get crazier and crazier: https://youtu.be/YEBlIICDasI?list=PLaURolsKD_VGSkEz6DfZYJVg0rYYuThT6&t=1302
I've followed Gem for a bit too lately and she's such a joy.
I wholeheartedly second Etho - often his videos feel like a warm hug and the life advice is helpful too.
Tildes Minecraft server anyone? ;) would be just the thing to get me hooked again.
i would be down for this
I would be very down for this. The firend group I was hosting a server for don't really play the game anymore.
I'd be down as haven't played the latest few updates
I like to watch ilmango, he makes some mind-boggling technical builds.
ilmango is great, I often pop his name into my search terms when looking around for farm designs. Some of his farms can be overkill in a singleplayer world, though, so I also tend to seek out designs by IanXOFour, gnembon, and LogicalGeekBoy.
Any series you'd recommend for ilmango? I loved his recent skyblock playthrough but when he switched gears to AutoTerraFirmaCraft, I found the content to be too dry for me.
I haven't actually watched his playthroughs, I usually stick to the redstone videos sorry. I'll have to give the skyblock a watch, and will also check out those other names you mentioned, thank you.
Thank you for posting this! I used to watch Hermitcraft all the time but sort of fell off of it years ago, and you just gave me an excuse to go through content on the recap channel.
Also a while back I was recommended some of the videos by MysteryOre on youtube, and he has really good content.
I used to follow dataless822. I still do but real life has taken over. He in a way promotes a different view of Minecraft, a view of building. He was one who would build big. There was nothing small that he built.
Been following a Minecraft streamer by the names of Jonbams for about a year and a half now. I particularly enjoy his stream because of his commitment to the grind/ massive projects. Everything in his hardcore world is done without the use of tnt/item duplication or nether roof. Lastly, he has a concrete schedule, been streaming 4hr a day at 9:30est for the last 1000+ days. Worth checking out! (:
Pixlriffs, ilmango and WadZee are my go to Minecraft YouTubers. PixlRiffs is really chill and slowly goes over base mechanics while building a beautiful world and helps learn basics about design and building. Ilmango builds mind-blowing technical redstone stuff. WadZee is just a super fun YouTuber, very easy to absorb and watch for a good time.
Also a shout out to Pinu who is doing a mind-boggling one block vanilla skyblock challenge. He starts in a vanilla world with only one grass block to stand on, no mods. Videos are slow to come out, and its still ongoing, but he has gotten quite a bit accomplished so far. Very good watch if you're looking for some unique content.
Time for a shout-out to InfiniteDrift, a female builder with some really laid-back designs that always amaze me. She has both longplay videos with and without commentary or quicker builds as well. Very relaxing to watch IMO.
I am a big fan of Wattles for both news, builds, and some survival play. Dude has good vibes and great update videos.
I also stream and watch a lot of Mysticat, a great vtuber for Minecraft. Very creative and just seems like a good person.
I also still go watch old Technoblade videos and stream VODs as he just has so much good content that's worth a rewatch.
ilmango has some really nice technical builds.
I recently found Squibble as well, who has some interesting redstone ideas.
iTMG makes really well edited videos.
Mainly various Hermitcrafters for me, though I tend to fall off for a while and then binge later when I have the attention span again. Seconding Etho and Zedaph for chaotic geniuses, and I'll also add Joe Hills and Xisuma for a more chill vibe (plus Zombie Cleo for the "chill but only because I'm done with the world's shit today" variant). Mumbo Jumbo is also pretty fun as a technical-but-not-too-technical player, while docm77 is a deep dive into crazy engineering feats. If you prefer building Grian and PearlescentMoon are great, or if they're too hyper for you then try GoodTimesWithScar.
Beyond Hermits, I remember enjoying CaptainSparklez and X33N, but lately I've found myself skipping Sparklez's Minecraft content and watching his Terraria playthrough on his second channel instead.
I've been following the same three youtube channels throughout my "ups and downs" of Minecraft interest:
There's something about these three that just keeps me intrigued and manages to get me to return to Minectraft after a break.
I’ve been watching Minecraft content since the game launched pretty much. I love a lot of the HermitCraft crew:
I’ve been a subscriber to Etho forever too.
Keralis, Tango and Doc are also experts in their craft.
Since most of the guys I watch have already been mentioned I'm going to rep my boy Threefold, who's a highly underrated modded player with very well edited videos. Usually he does solo playthroughs of big modpacks, but currently he's doing an SMP series with two other modded players. What amazes me is that the dude only has 47k subscribers, minuscule considering the quality of his work.
I mostly enjoy modded Minecraft content, and lately I've been enjoying X33N and CaptainSparklez and their series (plural) with PeteZahHutt. The three of them have great chemistry, and I really like seeing how the mods they play work (even if I don't always "get it" because I'm not a technical mod player).
I also really enjoy mod showcases by YorkMouseGames. She does an incredibly thorough job and presents everything in a straightforward and informative manner, while still managing to be entertaining.
