Does anyone here collect Pokemon from event distributions?

What I'm talking about are Pokemon that are given away in official events, which usually come in a Cherish Ball (after gen 4), have a ribbon, and were met in a 'fateful encounter'. I'm particularly interested in the H-Zoroark event distribution at the moment, because I love that Pokemon and the red color of the Cherish Ball matches it nicely.

Mostly just looking around for fellow traders to chat about cool shit we have, but I'm up for a trade or two if there's anyone interested!

However, one of my favorite Pokémon items is the Holographic Mew card from the 2001 movie release. So, like old Pokémon event collection, haha.

Well, there's a WiFi release on the latest game for an event Gastrodon, and a shiny Arcanine in a couple of weeks, so it's a good time to start!

EDIT: It's not a unique code, it's just a code dropped during the livestream and you have like 24hrs to claim it. oof. I miss the days of promos that lasted 3+ months.

I used to do that. Then my 3DS broke and I lost the energy to keep up with all of the digital movement. I haven't played any of the newer pokemon games since about 2019 but they all look fun and fine if sometimes janky. If I need a fix I'll turn on the bedside lamp and load up my Pokemon Blue in my Japanese GameBoy Pocket ;)

I personally came back in gen 8 and have been having a lot of fun with the games. Went from shiny hunting to event collection!

Back in the day I wanted to start collecting distribution carts, but I ended up having some life stuff happen that altered the path of my finances. I only have one, the Keldeo event cart. It's cool knowing that I can infinitely generate an event Pokemon, even though there's really no reason to do so, in fact I've kind of fallen out of love with Pokemon over the years. Maybe one day I'll collect them again. Hope they don't go up too much in price!

I don't go out of my way to collect them (well, beyond recently trying to get events to work for my DS games). But I just kinda want to brag about this because I don't get many chances: I have a Celebi from the 10th Anniversary Celebration. I don't think it even has a Cherish Ball, it was distributed to the GBA games at in-person events. I still have it in my Platinum game, been meaning to transfer it to the Bank and then Home.

From the same event I also got a Suicune, Entei, Espeon and Umbreon. And a keychain, which I regrettably lost (fell off my bag) and genuinely mourn.

I met someone recently who had an Aura Mew from gen III as well and I'm mad jealous. I have some gen 4/5 events myself at least!
