      That's Valve UX for you. Game tooling are both ahead and behind of the wider software industry at times. In this case, steamcmd needs to have its options to be readable from environment variables...

        I think you could semi-automate this with AutoHotkey or a similar tool, but it would take control of the PC, so it can't run when you're doing other things. Basically set it up so it r-clicks on...

Basically set it up so it r-clicks on the game and selects verify. And you can set those in the task scheduler to run at the desired time
