One of my biggest problems with Cities Skylines 1 is how easy it is. It's amazing as a "City Painter" (especially with some DLC's or content from the workshop) but it's not great at "City Management".

I love managing traffic, so I install TM:PE and turn on "hard mode" for the traffic and have fun that way.

It's really great to see CS2 give more attention to the management side of things. Hopefully they find a good balance between "city painter" and "city manager". Personally, I'd love for it to go for the harder side, but I doubt it'll be that hard. Hopefully we get options! :)

The one feature I’d love to see from the last sim city is the ability to upgrade and put on add ons to buildings. I think it helps with the game/management aspect as your larger buildings become more modular.

Having some rules helps less creative people like me create more interesting cities rather than just following a pattern that works

If you look closely at these highlights, all the service/utility buildings are modular in design. They focused on this mechanic in the previous highlight.

Yeah that's my feeling as well. Eventually you get so much money everything becomes trivial and it's almost impossible to bankrupt yourself. As a result, putting roads entirely underground or building bridges is no more challenging or different then just paving the ground for instance.

I found it also detracts from creating industry in the city and enacting policies as their is no financial motivation and it all just feels like flavour really.

Very excited for the game, everything they've shown so far seems to be a huge improvement
