Both sides are at fault for this and I think this is the simplistic view that they were trying to point out. The situation is incredibly complex and both sides could easily be portrayed as the right side.

On top of that, as other posters have mentioned, employees at a given company may not agree with the stance their employer takes (pro vs anti on either side) nor is this really a battleground for the gaming industry to be involved with in my opinion. I'm in agreement with Eji1700's point of view that even if they were to participate and take a stance, for most companies it would be a token and hollow effort ultimately driven by profits and good PR.

My only real complaint is that I wish there was a bit more of the story explained. While I get that it's supposed to be ambiguous and moody, I felt some more NPCs telling stories, flashbacks/visions, exposition dumps (besides the monoliths which I looked up) etc. could have given me an inkling more of an idea about why things in the game are important or happening.

Overall a very enjoyable experience though! Totally loved it!

I loved the game too as a kid and played this a ton with my brother and was also disappointed by the 'remaster' removing everything that made the first unique to play. I totally would have bought it but as the article mentions, there is no shared progress so playing the same levels over and over with your friends would totally suck.

I didn't even know those game boy cables could link up to a gameboy player for the Gamecube! It's quite the Frankenstein setup, I'm curious to see how much latency there would be with all the adapters and it being controlled online, then the video output also being streamed. I'm not too optimistic if this would truly be playable but it's quite the feat and a fun side project nonetheless!

The game is pretty fun with a good gameplay loop and the shop helps break up the runs which is really nice. The pixel art is top-notch and colourful too. I've been enjoying my time with it overall. My only gripes are limited weapons/movesets and the game is fairly buggy (at least on the Switch).

Maybe you saw the same similar post to mine or something? My post is a day old and no one else has mentioned anything like that so I'm not quite sure what either of you are talking about.

The Lion, The Witch, and the audacity of This Bitch.

People pulling out cameras and filming movies is obviously disrespectful. I think most people would be upset about people whipping out a camera and filming some powerful monologue at the end of a movie but maybe I'm just old or something. It sucks that people paying premium prices have to deal with this stuff, I think the best way to deal with this is to catch the movies a few weeks after release when recording this stuff is not going to be hot footage for social media.

At least I'm patient enough to wait for that time and also have a decent setup at home to watch movies if I want to avoid the theatres altogether (which is most of the time nowadays due to pricing).

I've been using ProtonMail for the past two years and like it. My email usage is pretty simple but they do have support for custom domains and I've never had any issues. ProtonMail is more privacy focused with servers being hosted outside the US and supporting end-to-end zero access encryption.

I had setup a network drive on the Shield itself but found it was way too slow transferring over the network to the Shield then writing to an external hard drive. One day, when I have the cahs laying around, I want to set it up on a NAS but they're quite expensive unfortunately.

For metadata, I actually have had minimal issues aside from one anime that isn't particularly mainstream, but changing the folder name quickly corrected it. However, I'm not downloading YouTube videos so it's probably a lot more reliable.

Thinking about it though now, I saw another user in a different thread mentioning setting up his own IPTV channel. Downloading some dumb stuff that makes me laugh off YouTube and running a channel playing it randomly might be a fun idea!

    It goes beyond hate speech.

    From minecraft.net

The type of behavior that will get someone suspended or banned is hate speech, bullying, harassment, sexual solicitation, or making true threats to others.

I mean, things like hate speech and threats are a bit more cut and dry but when I've played games with friends I could easily see how our conversations could be considered as bullying or harassment towards one another. The only type of speech that you can get banned for and is elaborated on is hate speech. This goes a bit more than "don't do hate speech lol".

If I'm running a server and want to create and foster a certain amount of type of community, I should be able to run it as I see fit. If you don't like it, then leave and find somewhere else to play. What if someone blows up my base or steals from me? Am I not allowed to communicate my anger towards another player? Where's the line?

Even putting it on a website, while transparent, I'm probably not going to notice as I don't really go to the companu website for 90% of the things I buy from a grocery store.

For what it's worth, Tidal got caught up in controversy for having 'masters' of Neil Young's music when they were never supplied with them. I wouldn't be surprised if it goes beyond just his catalogue.

Yeah, that's a good point about recommendations. I've discovered dozens of new artists and hundreds of new songs through Spotify. I do get a bit nervous of them removing songs I enjoy without me noticing (which has happened) and then me never really hearing the song again.

Back in high school I used to have hundreds of GBs of pirated music and then creating all my playlists manually from there. Knowing I would always have it and be able to listen to it brought me comfort as well.

Overall, I still feel I'm getting good value from my subscription and when I got an email that it was going up two bucks to $15 for my duo plan I wasn't particularly concerned. I can't remember the last time the price went up but I feel this is more than fair for an app I use pretty much all day, everyday.

Yeah that's my feeling as well. Eventually you get so much money everything becomes trivial and it's almost impossible to bankrupt yourself. As a result, putting roads entirely underground or building bridges is no more challenging or different then just paving the ground for instance.

I found it also detracts from creating industry in the city and enacting policies as their is no financial motivation and it all just feels like flavour really.
