Presumably this one by Haelian which I also just watched in the past few days despite not consuming anything else from them or related to Hades in recent memory.

That one made the YouTube algorithm gods happy. I don't know what Hades is and that video showed up on my suggested feed. The only reason I clicked on this thread is because of that suggested video.

I watched the actual run, and am just curious if he got all of the luck he needed, or if some of the "truisms" of "you can't be the run unless X" proved false? From my glancing through it, sure...

From my glancing through it, sure seems like it's at least 90% stars aligned? Is it really the exact build and route that was claimed to be needed?
There have only been 2 people who have beat 64 heat, and those people did it only with mods to get the exact build they needed (until this video, of course, who was one of the 2 modded runs). So...

So is it strictly required to get 100% of the build? Probably not. But I think 5/6 of the boons/hammers are strictly required. At least an alternative viable build isn't apparent.
Man, I just platinumed this game a few days ago and 16 heat was difficult enough. It boggles my mind that this is even possible. Did you have a keepsake equipped?

I saw a review of the run. They used the tooth that gives you 1 extra life to start, then once they died in Asphodel, they used the acorn that gives you a few extra hits before you take damage...

Meanwhile I haven’t even beaten it once. Got to the final phase for first time and then put it down. Hard to pick it up again even though it’s so good.

I definitely wanted to just have fun with the story and turned on God Mode to be more chill to play and didn’t regret that at all. Eventually I felt comfortable turning it off, but it helped me...
I definitely wanted to just have fun with the story and turned on God Mode to be more chill to play and didn’t regret that at all. Eventually I felt comfortable turning it off, but it helped me enjoy the game a lot more. Though it’s called “God Mode” it’s actually a more responsive kind of difficulty adjustment that gets easier as you die, which I liked.
Absolutely, and I highly recommend everyone do this if it's getting too frustrating. I turned on God Mode while I was learning and eventually turned it off and wound up comfortably beating the...
Absolutely, and I highly recommend everyone do this if it's getting too frustrating. I turned on God Mode while I was learning and eventually turned it off and wound up comfortably beating the game at around 16 heat without it while enjoying the story. That's high enough for me. Great, great game.
Even having beaten 34+ heat and sub-13 minute runs on every weapon, I can barely contemplate how to approach 64 heat. This is a nutso hard achievement (plus a ton of luck, he racked up a PILE of...

This is a nutso hard achievement (plus a ton of luck, he racked up a PILE of Zeus in Tartarus). Very validating to see that it was Blitz Disc though, I swear by Blitz Disc but the general consensus seemed to have been that it was kind of trash.
I just saw a video on why 64 heat was probably impossible. Funny how that happens with these sort of extreme challenges.

Would you happen to have a link to that video? Sounds like the pair would make for a solid back-to-back watch.

Meanwhile I’ve finished the game once
