I personally loveeee these kinds of games (life of being a perpetual host). My recommendations:
It Takes Two - Perfect game for valentines(?). It won game of the year a couple of years ago for a reason, and, honestly, I'd say one of the game-iest games I've ever gamed.
Overcooked 2 - Pretty self explanatory. If you like yelling at your friends, play this. One thing I like doing too is having a 5th person playing "head chef"
Plate Up! - Overcooked but with RPG/Roguelike elements with interesting progression.
Divinity Original Sin 2 - If you want to play Baldur's Gate but don't want to shell out the money for it at the moment. It's not exactly the same but pretty close!
Golf with Your Friends - Some of the funniest golf games to play with friends IMO

As always, check Is There Any Deal for historical lows!

I enjoyed it a lot! I also played a bit with my sister who isn't a gamer but really loved Overcooked 1 and 2. The thing about the game is that, on the surface, it's very much like Overcooked to a degree, where you run a restaurant, have to make food, and keep customers happy by making sure the food gets to them in time. Butttt there's more underneath it in terms of mechanics imo. Things like automation and persistent upgrades make the game more playable in a single player setting too.

I think if you like roguelike games and Overcooked, it's perfect. If you like Overcooked, it's still pretty good. If you haven't played either, try Overcooked if you want to play a chaotic game with your friends and like yelling at each other to make sure the rice doesn't burn. Try Plate Up if you wanna yell at each other a bit less, but have room to breathe and set up optimal paths and automation and stuff like that.

Thanks for the details! I'll be sure to pick this up when it goes on sale. I have played Overcooked 1, and I think the same friend group would like this too.

If you liked world, you'd probably like this one. It's much faster paced (honestly imo wirebugs are a bit of a crutch, but I do like switch skills a lot), and a bit easier to get into. I personally still love World more, but I still have about 250 hours in Rise, and I think my friends prefer it to World.

Fanatical is currently hosting a tiered Build Your Own Shooter bundle. 3 games for $5, 5 games for $7, or 8 games for $10. If you're into shooters, it's one of the best bundles I've seen in recent memory.

At a glance, you could pick up DUSK, Amid Evil, and Quake (the remastered version with four expansion packs included) for $5 total. That's an absolutely bonkers amount of well-polished content. DUSK and Amid Evil are some of the cornerstones of the modern boomer shooter revival. Quake + all its expansions added up to ~45 hours of stellar gameplay alone. Not to mention, Quake's final expansion is a brand new one built for this re-release, and it shows - the folks at MachineGames have learned plenty more about the tools of the trade in the decades since Quake's initial release, and it shows in the gameplay of these new levels. Super fun trip.

Plus, there are plenty of other very highly-rated hitters on the list. I've played and can vouch for the following games, in addition to my top three which I already mentioned:

    • Ziggurat (wizard-flavored FPS roguelike)
    • DOOM 64 (you owe it to yourself to play this if you appreciate the PC entries to the series; it's a solid port and the gameplay holds up really well)
    • Wolfenstein 3-D (one of the OGs of FPSes, certainly shows its age but it's fun if you nerd out over the history of this stuff like I do)

For what it's worth, there are several others in the bundle that are very well-reviewed on several aggregate sites, but I haven't played them yet, so I won't speak to them. Several are already in my backlog, though!

Both Divinity: Original Sin and it's Sequel's complete edition are on sale for an all time low of 15$
Developed by Larian, very similar to BG3!

I'm not even gonna pretend that I've played most of these games. A lottttt of old games for $20, including 19xx games, Rockman (Japanese Megaman), a bunch of old Street Fighter games, etc.

I dunno if it's worth posting since it just released, but I'm a fan of the IP personally, and it'll be nice to have a survivor game that I'm more into
