Fights in Tight Spaces is one of those games that ALMOST makes my "play it whenever I have time" list.
I love the concept, but the animations take a little too long to play, and the levels/a single run takes WAY too long to play.
If i'm not overthinking my turns on something like STS i can probably finish a run in 30ish minutes or less depending on the deck. I can spend more time thinking to win more, but I like that I can have fun playing faster.
If I BLITZ through FITS I'm lucky if I eventually fail after an hour and only getting so far. It's such a cool game but man do I wish it could be played faster and have shorter levels.
So in relation to this new game, I'm sure KITS is going to have similar problems, as adding extra players to the field is going to make each level take even longer. Hopefully they adjust the number of levels down to compensate, because I'd really love to play both of these more than I do.
Yeah, I'm with you on the length of play being a challenge. I've been going back to an older dungeon crawl/deck management thing I can barely describe called Ring of Pain, where a level is drawn...
Yeah, I'm with you on the length of play being a challenge. I've been going back to an older dungeon crawl/deck management thing I can barely describe called Ring of Pain, where a level is drawn from a selection of cards formed into a ring, and you have to deal with the cards directly on either side of you in the ring. Super weird thing.
But more to the point: At the higher difficulties you might die in the first level repeatedly until you get the right draws to really make a breakout run. But the animations are fast and the reset instantaneous, so if you lose it's within seconds and you can be back into it just as fast. Losing 5 times before a good run gets going matters very little if those 5 losses take place in less than a minute.

I don't quite know how to describe it, but the art style is almost identical to how I imagined all the characters and worlds when I used to read fantasy books as a kid.
Edit: There is in fact a demo that was just released, I haven't tried it yet, but people seem to be enjoying it.
I, on the other hand, love a deckbuilder and is one of the main genres I play on my SteamDeck. The art style looks great, and I'm beyond tired of deckbuilders reusing the same assets and sideview...

Thanks for posting this.
Kinda disappointed this is not a Weird Al parody of Knights in White Satin, tbh.... LLM to the rescue however... Knights in tight spaces, never reaching the door, Armors clinking, as they're...

Knights in tight spaces, never reaching the door,
Armors clinking, as they're squeezed ever more.
Battles and dungeons, where they just can't fit,
Oh, how they struggle, in hallways they sit.

If you're into deckbuilders you might be interested in Ironhive that just released their demo, looks really interesting and different.
Demo downloaded, will try it soon. Thanks!
Direct link to Steam because it wasn't in the video description:

Haha that's why I clicked the link. The poem at the end wouldn't even need to change.
Breathe deep the gathering gloom...
