Not too much that was exciting, but that was to be expected. Geoff was pre-emptively trying to lessen expectations on Twitter; for someone to do that before their show, you know it's bad. I don't...

I don't blame Geoff; I just don't think there's a lot of things going on that developers would want to show off right now. There are future projects, and stuff like the Switch 2, but it's not going to be at Summer Game Fest.

    Is what it is.

I was pleasantly surprised at how much spotlight was put on indie games. With each iteration, SGF had increasingly felt like a show that "wasn't for me" since the games were almost exclusively big AAA games.

The mix of smaller title to huge block buster felt so much healthier. Neva is a small game I've been looking forward to for a while. Killer Bean is a solo dev project, and the trailer had me laughing the entire way through.

I really do hope SGF continues this trend into the future.

I think the overall games lineup here is fine, it's just that there was very few fully new things announced. A lot of this stuff is follow up trailers to already known games. Of the stuff that was new to me I think Cuffbust and Tears of Metal looked the most fun.

Phantom Blade Zero's probably did the most to improve my interest for the game.

I'm already fully onboard for the Capcom stuff and Space Marine 2.

The real wtf moment of the show is the Lego Horizon game (the second piece of weird Lego news this week), I'm sure a lot of nerds would be very happy if they could buy sets of those robot dinosaurs.

Tears of Metal looks pretty good, I think I'd want friends who are interested before I'm interested in playing it myself (with them).

As a long term Civ player, I hope 7 is better than 6 was. 6 is probably my least favorite game of all time, for what ever reason it just did not click for me. And this is coming from someone that has thousands of hours in 4 and 5, more in 4 than 5.

Although the newest Monster Hunter game looks fun.

You all should follow through into Day of the Devs and Devolver Direct though. Day of the Devs is "free" (sponsored), which means there were some nice indies that peaked my interest. And Devolver announced DLC for Talos 2!

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has got me horned up, I must say. I absolutely adored the first game, probably one of my favorite games of the last 20 years. I'm excited to continue Henry's story and explore more of Medieval Bohemia.

It's a game I got for free on Epic around 2019 and now I'll absolutely be purchasing the new one. Probably day 1, but I also may wait and see how it turns out, bug and optimization wise, but I'm glad I upgraded my PC for the first time since 2019, back in October (which in 2019 was for KC:D, go figure.)

Due to an early leak by Playstation Taiwan (timezone mixup) the Street Fighter M. Bison trailer is out early.

The Delta Force game looks a bit meh. The flamethrower enemy isn't great in what was generally a realistic tactical shooter series and the part where the guy ran at superspeed up the stairs completely lost me. Although the Black Hawk Down section looked pretty cool.

I used to love playing Delta Force 1 and 2 on PC back in the day, was a ton of fun once I got used to the fact you could be killed in just a couple of shots.
