Parts 1 and 2 are about the original plan for this game involving an "editable dungeon" that could be populated with objects around Hyrule. That became the echo system and the game was retooled around it after about a year of dev time trying to work the dungeon crafting mechanics and realizing that it's way more fun for the player to use the copy pasting to their advantage.
Part 4 is out, and gives some details on how this game feels like “Legend of Zelda” despite being a pretty big change in formula. This is the final part of the interview....

I thought that maybe at least the 2D titles would continue the formula of limited items, limited puzzle solutions. But this doesn't seem to be the case.

I expect/hope that Switch games will work on the Switch 2 but do we have confirmation on that?
I don't think we will have a Zelda launch title for the Switch 2 and that's the main reason I buy Nintendo hardware. I might just wait to have this as my launch game on the Switch 2?
From what we know, firmware updates talk about about code on the Switch side to determine if a game is on a Switch or a potential successor, and assign an appropriate settings profile, and reports...
