I'm not a huge NPR fan usually but I always really like this list for some reason, I feel like they usually pick a couple of games that I'm not familiar with either and I spend a lot of time...

I still had the July one open in a tab for later consumption... Oops. I see several good games in there. Doesn't go too deep into obscure indie territory, but still a good list.

Stuff I’ve played from the list that would also make mine- Ufo50 - seriously the value on this is insane Animal well- great metroidvania. Tactical beach wizards- nice middle ground on puzzle and...

Ufo50 - seriously the value on this is insane
Animal well- great metroidvania.
Tactical beach wizards- nice middle ground on puzzle and tactics.
Caves of Qud- one of the best rogue style games period.
Soleium Infernum- fundamentally flawed at a super high level of play but otherwise a fun scheming game.
ARCS - amazing board game. My only recommendation is DON’T OVER PLAN. You can try to think 8 turns ahead. It will not work and you’ll have just burnt a bunch of time.
The only other one I’ve played that’s eh in my eyes is Balatro. I think it’s overrated but I get why it’s popular.
My wife loved Star dew although it’s not my speed (but I do love me some harvest moon)
Glad to see Crow Country in the lineup. I picked up over Halloween and while I haven't had enough time to finish it, the few hours it put into it were delightful. It's simple (which was big plus...
Glad to see Crow Country in the lineup. I picked up over Halloween and while I haven't had enough time to finish it, the few hours it put into it were delightful. It's simple (which was big plus for me) and so far does a good job of slowly unwrapping at a pace that keeps me hooked and curious.
I love that Stardew Valley is one of the best 2024 games.
