He mentioned 2018's War of Rights (which I'd never heard of, TBH) but people playing as officers and ordering other people into firing lines (and executing anyone who ignored them! ;) was common on 2010's Mount & Blade: Warband servers running the various mods/DLCs that added guns to the game, like Warband: Napoleonic Wars. See: Mount and Blade Warband Napoleonic Wars- Huge Line Battle!
Although neither of those games have a system for relaying and visualizing firing line orders like War of Rights has. That's a neat feature that I'd love to see in more historical and realistic/tactical shooter games.

But back then I was way more into just playing singleplayer Warband, and when I got the hankering for a multiplayer shooter I usually played Arma (since I was a mod for 5hizzle and Thadrius, two Arma Twitch streamers).

And the same is also standard on 2020's Holdfast: Nations at War servers too. See: Random Holdfast: Nations at War Bullshittery (part 1) and (part 2)
