Though, while I do have a nice collection of watches, they've sorta been left abandoned since I got my Apple Watch S3.
My old go-to was the Citizen Echo-Drive radio-controlled limited edition, with the gold frame and crocodile leather strap.

It is a little marvel - a marriage of precision engineering and useful art. A never tiring mechanical reminder of the passing of time in a digital era.
Also, since I wear an automatic it never runs out of power as long as I am still alive and kicking.
The duodecimal analog dial is much quicker to read.
Oh, and if you know how, you can use it to find north.
I'm not home at the moment so can't post photos, I've got a Tissot T Race in blue that fits perfectly on my boney man child arms. My grail would be this one but the price on that will...

haha yep I went with something realistic, I actually found that while I was a broke arse student. I'm hoping I'll be in a position to purchase that in the next year or so. I'll have to check out...

I'll have to check out that recommendation. thank you
completely forgot about the two others I have that kind of count? (ha didn't mean that) I've got an old Donald Duck wind up watch I was given when I was 4, so 30 years back. And a little silver...

And a little silver fob or nursing watch. That one isn't anything flash but I absolutely love it's simplicity and it was from my wife and oldest daughter, they gave it to me for Bella's (daughter) first Christmas she had no clue but it's engraved with her name.
very good point. The site you recommended is fantastic, I've spent a ton of time already on it and sent the link to a very good friend who also has a love for watches. Wow... completely missed the...

Wow... completely missed the one he gave me for being his best man later in the year. It's nothing flash, it's the engraving again that makes it truly special.
On the back it says "for standing with me always" bastard made me tear up when I read it

Personally, a watch to me is more than just a fashion accessory, it is something more intimate. So I only have one at a time.
If I will ever switch it, it will be for good and for a perfect one.
That said, Zenith, Jacques Lemans, IWC, Ulysse Nardin, and Patek Philippe have some really nice ones.
And, what surprised me, made (one of the) first automatic drives. Zenith and some other, which I can't recall now, are the other two watchmakers claiming the same title (depends on which exact...

My next watch will probably be a Stowa Partitio or a Nomos Club
Grail watch that I might be able to get one day: the new Omega Railmaster.
And finally, my ultimate grail watch that I will never be able to own: a Rolex Explorer 1016. This watch is perfect; it's simple, elegant and will outlast me.
What's your grail @steve? Do you have pictures of your current collection?

I am currently wearing a Bulova, whose model name I'll never be able to remember. At the time, it was the only automatic women's watch with a skeleton design that wasn't plastered in hearts and stars and bling, and wasn't going to really break the bank. My style leans more masculine anyway, so I'd be happy to find a men's skeleton automatic that's sized down nicely.
Right now, I wear a simple Timex Expedition. Super functional and it lights up at night. My dream watch is this though: https://www.stowa.de/en/Antea+Klassik+365.htm. :grimacing: it's pretty...

Not a watch enthusiast, but I recently purchased a Casio CA53W-1 calculator watch. Before this watch, I wore a Pebble Time, and before that I wore an original Pebble.

I mean this as a genuine question: Why wear a watch in a world of cell phones? Is it the fashion aspect? Watches can look quite nice.
I hadn't thought of watches that way, but I can't deny there is something beautiful about them tiny machines!

Fashion, absolutely. Although I've transitioned to smartwatches to keep track of heart rate.
Currently wearing a Hamilton Jazzmaster Seaview. Loving this watch. Currently grail is an Omega Grey Side of the Moon Speedmaster

My daily driver is a Casio World Time Waveceptor WR50M. It's a fantastic beater watch. Very reliable.
