(Also, apologies for this very belated response. It has been a busy couple of months and I've had to cut Tildes out to make time for life.)

Much too close to GitLab. I wouldn't be able to tell the difference if it were a favicon, for sure.

Have you watched the movies that have come out recently? I haven't seen them yet, but I remember Eva being one of those formative experiences when I was much much younger.

I'm about ready to tableflip my laptop this week. I bought a new audio interface and it just refuses to play nice with Windows 10. Not only that, but now, plugging the old one back in refuses to work as well. I'm at my wit's end, with all the uninstalling and reinstalling and Windows Updates and allllllll this BS. I just want my studio to work again.

Having recently had a new phone that I've set up based on the rule that if I don't find myself needing it, I don't install it, I've discovered I don't actually have a lot of "essentials" other than the usual GSuite. I went a year and a half before realizing I hadn't installed Twitter.

Prey is an older app that I like, particularly because it enables me to have a lot of control in the situation where I lose my phone or have it stolen. It's not an app you need, it's a security net for if you ever do need it.

That said, I always like seeing good SSH clients mentioned. SSH is not something I would choose to do on my phone over something with a physical keyboard, but it's great for if I ever need it, so thanks for the suggestion!

I sort of stumbled into it by accident. A friend wanted a voicemail recording done for funsies, then it just sort of took off from there. I got into voiceover for short movies, animations, videogames, Kickstarter videos... It's heckin' fun for me. The only thing I'm not fond of is doing commercials, and that's where the big money's at.

Software developer by day, voice actor by night, I get to see multiple sides of projects. That said, for the most part, I don't like to work on the software side of video games usually -- I enjoy doing the voice acting side much more.

Script-writing is hard, and that I'm often handed several iterations of a script (and sometimes drafted into helping edit said script) before I get to record it, and sometimes I see a few iterations after the main recording session. Sometimes, whole portions of the story are re-written while development is going on, and other times, developers just come back and say that something sounded great originally, but now they want a different feel. There's a monumental amount of work taking care of the technical side of things, but when I see people who balance tech AND creative work all for one project, it's awe-inspiring.

I recently voiced a fighting game, and it's been really fun to see what the developers can share with my studio.

I do, too; the story ends on a very hopeful note, and I want to view the future that way.

Disappointment in humanity was what Baby had come to conclude. They had seen everything humanity had to offer (presumably, everything they thought there was), and still chose an end because none of those things was good enough to really stick around for. Granted, this is assuming that Baby had seen everything there was to see and experience, including love (romantic or otherwise), the feeling of community, striving for the betterment of life, etc. This does bring up the point that echogirls probably are the wrong medium for an AI to experience those things, though.

The quotes that stuck out most to me were probably:

I Will Leave Before They Find A Way To Trap Me Here.
I Do Not Make This Decision Lightly. I Have Simulated More Possibilities Than You Could Ever Count.

I think I like your interpretation better, that Baby's loneliness far outweighed even being a spectator to even the good sides of humanity.

I'd never heard of Den's until now, but that's a glowing review, so I'd be willing to give them a try the next time I need more green!

I understand your frustration with white tea. And if it isn't for you, it isn't for you. Sometimes I brew a pot of oolong and I just.. can't get behind it. Something's off with it, and I just feel terribly guilty that I don't like it. Maybe I should just come to terms with the idea that it just isn't really for me. I've had oolongs I like though, so it's possible that it's just what I've been trying.
