    This is a lot to read, so I only got though maybe a third of it. One thing I found interesting was the hypothesis that men that are either racial or sexual minorities would tend to have more similar views on masculinity across the urban/rural axis. And the data seems to support that.

    I don’t think the paper proves the “why” they put forth, that these men have similar oppressive experiences regardless of their location and get their sense of masculinity from more consistent sources than straight when men. But it seems like a reasonable cause.
