Eh, if you consider how old the MCU is, and that open homosexuality was fairly taboo well into the 90's, it makes sense. That said, I don't follow it that deep so I wouldn't know where to really...

I'm not even necessarily talking politics here, it's weird from a statistical standpoint. If you can have two wizards, a sentient tree and a flying android, you surely can have a gay dude.
I'm really talking about the MCU, Marvel Comics have a bunch of LGBT characters.
I completely agree with you that they really need better representation in major characters, not just side characters or bit parts, but there have been a few. One of the major characters in...
I completely agree with you that they really need better representation in major characters, not just side characters or bit parts, but there have been a few. One of the major characters in Eternals was an openly gay, married man. He has an on-screen kiss and everything. In my eyes that was a pretty big step, but I can see how it wouldn't have gotten much attention given that Eternals kinda sucked 😂. America Chavez is supposedly a lesbian, and from what I've been reading is supposed to be a major character in some of the upcoming stuff, but that wasn't really obvious in her initial appearance in Multiverse of Madness (though she did have two moms in her flashback).
Ah, again I didn't really catch the distinction. In that case the answer is simpler: Disney. They are not fans of deviating from heteronormativity and "good Christian values." There is a long...

There is a long track record there for everything they own, which is a lot of stuff.
Edit: Meant to say... Even if there is a gay Marvel character, they're likely to downplay it as a result.
I mean, you say that, but I watched a chinese cinema rip of Endgame and it contained the gay guy referencing his husband. "common knowledge" was that it was removed by the censors, but the version...
I mean, you say that, but I watched a chinese cinema rip of Endgame and it contained the gay guy referencing his husband. "common knowledge" was that it was removed by the censors, but the version I saw which was very literally shown in a Chinese cinema, and had the golden dragon before it, had kept it in. So I'm not really sure where all of this is coming from.

I'm pretty sure that was Ron Desantis posturing. Since right of the gates it would end up moving over a billion dollars of debt over to the county. Disney said this outright and said the ball was...

Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Yukio in Deadpool 2 is the only main one coming to mind that actually gets depicted in the series. I'm sure there are a handful of Bi or Pansexual characters, but considering it's a super hero action film series and not a romcom drama focusing on everyone's sexual preferences it wouldn't make sense to spell out what every character's fictional preference is.
It's really weird how LGBT free the MCU has been up until now. Are there any major LGBT character that I don't know of?

Oh I haven't seen the Eternals. Will do.

I don't think it's Disney, necessarily... it's China. Disney is trying very hard to appease PRC censors to ensure MCU distribution in that market.

Didn't Disney lose their special district status in Florida for publicly opposing an anti-LGBTQ bill?

This is not at all a defense of Desantis.
I'm pretty sure that was Ron Desantis posturing. Since right of the gates it would end up moving over a billion dollars of debt over to the county. Disney said this outright and said the ball was in the state's court, I've heard nothing since.
I'd offer this link as a good starting point for the problematic nature of Disney's films.
