Side note, watched the trailer with my wife and at the end she said "Wow I don't know how the movie goes". That's a good trailer in my books, revealed very little about the story, but just enough to make us interested.

Anyway, the trailer looks excellent and I hope the anti-war message digs deep into global social climate.

As much as I enjoy the campier Godzilla movies in their own way, my favorite Godzilla movies are the ones like the original 1954 movie, The Return of Godzilla, and Shin Godzilla that took the monster seriously. Phoenixrises brought up the anti-war sentiment that had been behind the original conception of Godzilla, and I would say that’s a timeless message. This pivot back to the focus on human strife as the cause and effect of Godzilla is exactly what the franchise needs, in my opinion.
