If I could name the three best living filmmakers it would be: Martin Scorsese, Christopher Nolan, and Steven Spielberg. I’m not feeling this though. Feels more like Ready Player One Spielberg.

A friend was telling me about it and maybe we're both looking into it too much, but like...are we dealing with aliens here? Gods? Demons? something else? And if it's just aliens are we talking like little grey dudes? Other dimensional beings? Something akin to 3 body problem's aliens that are impossibly advanced from a grueling evolution?

That's interesting enough to get me to watch it...probably on streaming or on an invite from that same friend to go see it in theater.

I mean it's Spielberg and between ET and Taken (the mini-series, not the films), I trust he can handle aliens (assuming that's what they are)

Spoiler I think the “aliens” in that movie are actually supposed to be demons even though there’s crop circles and other phenomena that are usually associated with extraterrestrials.

Oh sorry, not the movies, but the mini series from 2002. It follows a few generations of families impacted by the Roswell crash. I updated my original comment to specify.

Maybe I'm just dumb, but during that whole bit with the weather report I couldn't help thinking of this scene? https://youtu.be/iplfWUtKMzI?si=m7GCGSdchX0NZBXN
