Along those lines, I'd throw in Don't Be a Menace, the straight-up zany satirical take on hood movies. Though, you'd probably have had to grow up in lower-class LA neighborhoods in the 90s to get the full effect.
I've seen only moonlight, get out, and Black Panther. Highly doubt this claim though - They didn't mention the Blade trilogy or Dr. Doolittle in the list.

Ryan Coogler delivered the best black superhero film of all time
They didn't mention the Blade trilogy or Dr. Doolittle in the list.

I don't know if it's more of an issue of "there aren't enough of these movies around to really make a best of list" or if my preferences simply diverge from the author's, but I don't think Black Panther should be on there. It may or may not be culturally significant, but it's a cookiecutter action movie that's only made special by the fictional location.

I'm guessing it's that those aren't considered Black films, just films with Black leads. Blade is mentioned under Black Panther, though.
You made me think of The Meteor Man.
Where is Pootie Tang at?
Dolemite Is My Name should be on this list.
