I've recently found Huey Lewis and the News. What a unique voice! I'm just a BIT late. Enjoying some of the gems from their greatest hits and trying to play a few of the basics on the guitar.

I got Fore! on vinyl when I was about 8 years old and wore the thing out. Granted I was a kid and it was my only record, but man did I love that album. Strange how some sounds just define an era, and seemingly stay there and never return. Huey Lewis was one of the defining sounds of the 1980's for sure. Also I've heard that he's a really super nice guy.

They are killer. Saw a blurb describing them as "out of the psychadelic tar pits" and it nailed it. I've listened to Data Doom and Monsters Eating People Eating Monsters... Both bring me back to my adolescent bliss, it's punk, it's psychadelic, it's thrash, it just freaking jams.

Been delving deeper into hip hop this week. Eminem is an old favourite so I started there and moved onto royce da 5 9. Kinda just bounced around seeing what I like. I also remembered that marlowe is really good. Really just feeling out the genre again.

Also since its getting dark and cold that means it's time to get darkthrone back in rotation.

I listened to Knower's Life a while ago because I'd been recommended them multiple times, but despite liking Louis Cole's solo stuff I really didn't vibe with Life (save for The Government Knows being hilarious). Then sometime this last week I got passed Do Hot Girls Like Chords, which sent me down a rabbit hole to Flat Earth and Clowncore, which sent me back to Knower's Let Go and their inexplicable Sammy Stephens feature. Odd set of ridiculous talent, I don't know what clicked so hard this time.
