I am genuinely concerned the next response will be ICE rolling up on Harvard and grabbing everyone (probably with racial bias) who's an international student. And then do it again. And again. You cut the international students by virtue of no one wanting to attend if they're going to be harassed, arrested, and held even if they are not deported immediately.

And use it as a mechanism to shutdown critics. That line was also used to paint anti-war protestors as enemies.
Looking back 24 years later, I think we can safely say that came to pass.
W Bush took the more traditional attack on education: Stripping funds from poor schools on the premise of meritocracy and funneling tax dollars into privately owned (and religious) schools.
Thankfully Democrats had spines back then and stopped the worst of the defunding at the time.
