I saw this go up last night and wanted to rush over to post it myself before bed. Dorktown might be my favorite YouTube channel/series, especially since they've adopted the longer narrative-driven format. The Seattle Mariners series got me back into baseball (with a little help from Shohei Ohtani, I suppose) and the Atlanta Falcons episodes were great, but they really took it to the next level with the Dave Stieb story last year. If anyone interested in the series hasn't seen that one yet, I suggest you do so, and resist any temptation you may have to look him up if you aren't already familiar with his story.
I only made it about 25 minutes in last night, but from what I've seen so far, this series is going to meet expectations. The Vikings are such a tortured franchise with quite a few interesting characters is their history, so there's plenty to work with.
I saw this go up the other night, and had it in my "to post on Tildes" queue too. Damn you, @Fal! You robbed me of my uh, nothing actually... Thanks for sharing it and saving me the effort. ;) And...

And ditto on Dorktown too. I still don't actively follow many sports other than MMA, Strongman, and occasionally Baseball, but I absolutely love history and a good sports documentary, no matter the sport, so Dorktown (and Secret Base in general) is right up my alley.
The Bob Emergency and The Search for the World's Saddest Punt are my personal favorite two Jon Bois videos, I love showing it to friends and family. Robbed you of a sense of pride and achievement...

Dorktown is fantastic. I’m not even really a sports fan and would never choose to spend my free time watching it, but Dorktown/Chart Party/Pretty Good/anything Jon Bois touches goes so far beyond just talking sports to provide mini profiles of the figures he’s discussing, cultural context for the events, and a dry sense of humor that just hits right for me.
I’d encourage anyone to check out this video or anything under one of the banners I mentioned above. Even if you’re not interested in sports in the slightest, it’s still an interesting series that uses sports to tell human stories about people who are athletic anomalies, absolute weirdos, and usually both. You don’t need to care about Ken Griffey Jr’s home run pace during a strike-shortened 1994 season in order to get into the drama of the Mariners battling the New York Yankees in the playoffs. Sports are merely the framework for grand narratives that any writer would dream of crafting for a movie
His Pretty Good on Randall Cunningham seizing the means of production has left a profound impact on me. I am so excited to learn about the Vikings, and I don't even like pro football.

Lifelong Vikings fan here. I've been waiting for this one for a bit. We are definitely a tortured franchise, but this year is our year! right? thisisouryearthisisouryearthisisouryear

Echoing the sentiments of everyone else here - Dorktown is awesome. I am not a huge football fan, preferring to watch the CFL over the NFL (smaller, faster, less ad-infested) but watching the first two episodes of this series has me considering becoming a Vikings fan. It helps a good friend of mine is a hardcore Packers fan so being able to rile him up with a "Skol!" is great.
Also the connection between the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and the Vikings via Bud Grant is awesome.

Sidenote: a dorktown tag would be nice

p.s. My all time favorite Jon Bois Secret Base videos, which I recommend everyone watch:
The Bob Emergency: a study of athletes named Bob, Part I | Chart Party
The Bob Emergency: a study of athletes named Bob, Part II | Chart Party
It's such a silly premise, but the depth he dives into the subject is amazing, and it's also super entertaining.

Hah. You trying to become Tildes most downvoted comment now too? Oh wait, we don’t have those here either. :P
