My response is, perhaps a counter to all the, I'm sure, good faith responses of "but what about decorum"; this tracks with what the majority of people I know consider "work attire". No one wears suits any more to work (if at all possible) and for those of us in tech, most of us don't even wear slacks and a polo any more (if at all possible). None of us could give two shits if our representative or senator wore a suit if they actually represented us at the federal level.

Plus all the claims of decorum kind of went out the proverbial window years ago with the "You lie!" screaming at the State of the Union address. Who cares what you're wearing if you're going to be a boorish buffoon?

I adore Once, but having looked through some of OP's other responses in this post, they don't really seem to grok the concept of "love". A movie about two people briefly connecting and truly, painfully longing for each other despite being on two separate paths in life might not resonate with the OP. Which is a shame, sadly.

It was good at what it set out to be: a fishing game with some Lovecraftian theme on top, some spooky horror if you stayed out too late at night, and some lore. I can understand why someone who only played the first few hours would grow bored; it found better footing once you could get out past the central island and explore the other four areas. But to it's core and till the credits roll it was still a fishing game and that's not everyone's cup of tea. Much more of a "lean back" game than a "lean in" game. Played flawlessly on the Steam Deck.

My dude, Tom Morello was literally a "boss" in Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock. I promise you we (since I was in fact a person during the hey day of RATM) were headbanging to his riffs.

People don't really remember RATM for the riffs

Though I'm fully remote now, my job was previously in an office as described (a room to call my own with a desk and a door that closed) and I used to say that I would not only never work in an open-office format, but that it would take a significant raise to get me to move back to a cubicle. The difference in quality of worklife when in an office versus cubicle (or especially versus "open office") cannot be overstated.

I think there's possibly some validity in discussing whether we can understand consciousness, but dragging Gödel into the argument seems pointless to me.

A simple Google search would have sufficed to show you that people have been "dragging" Godel into the "argument" for decades. Godel himself knew that his theorem, though strictly about math/logic, would be interpreted through other lenses:

"It was something to be expected that sooner or later my proof will be made useful for religion, since that is doubtless also justified in a certain sense."

Torkel Franzen wrote an entire book (https://www.amazon.com/G%C3%B6dels-Theorem-Torkel-Franz%C3%A9n/dp/1568812388) on Godel's Theorem being "used and abused" (author's own words) by other fields.

So pointless or not, it has happened and will likely continue to happen until the end of time.

Instead I saw a lot of people come away thinking they can ask an LLM a question and get a correct answer.

One of my fun tests for an LLM is to ask them about someone you know personally but who isn't famous enough to have been in the training data scraped from the internet. The LLM will hallucinate an entire-ass background for this person you know dearly; a background that is clearly, unequivocally false.

I did this once on my best friend and the LLM reported that he was "an American entrepreneur and investor. He is the founder and CEO of Carstensen Ventures, a venture capital firm that invests in early-stage technology companies." "Carstensen Ventures" doesn't even exist, at least according to a cursory Google search.
