A week ago, I posted in this thread about going to see my aunt who was very sick and my flight getting canceled. I was able to make it down there last Thursday and stayed until Sunday. She passed away a few hours after I got home yesterday and was not awake/lucid at all while I was there.

I'm just thankful for the Facetime call I was able to have with her to say goodbye a couple weekends ago before her condition deteriorated, and I focused all my energy on being there for my uncle. She had been pretty sick the last 10 years and off-and-on sick most of her adult life, so I haven't felt much sadness or grief. Just a sense of relief that she's at peace and my uncle is unburdened.

I rode in the Spanish Town Parade on Saturday; it was a great time. I got quite drunk, lol.

Are you hot-seating it, or each playing your own save?

I am tempted to get the DLC and start a new save, but we’ve also considered getting the Skyward Sword remaster. Really all I want is the sequel to BotW!

I actually, sort of, pre-ordered BOTW 2 on Amazon last year in my excitement for it, until I realized it was just an Amazon placeholder.

@autumn, my husband strongly recommends playing Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity instead. While I don't think either will scratch that itch (honestly, you're probably better off playing Immortals Fenix Rising or Assassin's Creed Valhalla if you want the same kind of gameplay experience), Hyrule Warriors at least has the benefit of taking place in the same universe and is in fact a story prequel to Breath of the Wild.

As it so happens, I'm actually playing through this same game again right now in spite of the huge number of games I actually want to play that are in my backlog. I'll probably buy the DLC after I complete it again.

I looked up some reviews, and I don’t think this is the game for us. I was really intrigued by co-op split screen, but every review said it was choppy when doing that mode, so I’ll likely skip it for now. Hack and slash isn’t really what we’re looking for.

I’ve also considered going back to Skyrim, but it’s so dang dark. Maybe I can limit to playing only at night.

There's a demo available, so you can always try it out and see if it's your cup of tea. Although, for some reason, the level they included in the demo is the choppiest in the whole game...

Yeah, I figure I’d start a master mode game for the DLC save.

I met up with a friend in Santa Cruz for a little mountain biking. It was a great day, beautiful weather, pretty mellow crowds, the works. We ended up getting in about 4 hours of riding for a total of 4 full laps and some side trail mess arounds. We have some great trails in my neck of the woods too, but it's always a treat to get on some classic lines like that.
