It has been a relatively big and eventful week. We returned from a trip in time to help my oldest daughter move out to go to University. Then my sister gave birth to her son. Today is my 16th wedding anniversary!

On top of that, the other main manager at work is my sister's husband, so he has not been at work this week due to aforementioned son being born, so I have been answering one zillion emails.

My 1st child's birthday is coming up in a few days, so my wife and I have been prepping for that. Other than that, I started college classes this week for a BS in mechanical and aerospace engineering. Its been a busy week haha.

Thank you! It was kind of funny that my kid left town two days before their cousin arrived. Had a real "this towns not big enough for the two of us" vibe. Except between my kids and my siblings...

Except between my kids and my siblings kids there's 6, so I guess our town only holds 5 Phoenix cousins?

Edit: wow autocorrect really fucked with this comment to start with. I'm not having a stroke! I think I fixed it.

I'm visiting friends in Colorado. Yesterday I played an open mic, it went ok. It was good to play with my friend. Today we're packing to go camping so that tomorrow we can wake up and go to habitat for humanity. I'm getting electrical stuffs, a door and windows for the house my friends are coming to build me this winter! I'm going to have 4 walls! It's very exciting. Making fancy ramen for dinner tonight and sleeping under the stars.

I had Tues-Fri blocked off from work as my summer vacation to go camping! Unfortunately, I came down with a sore throat on Mon just in time to start my vacation off with a fever 🥲

This cold hit me pretty hard and I was out of it for a couple days. I was definitely not going camping. It was a surreal, fevered, personal time dilation bubble where I was either in bed or on the couch, and my only break from feeling super crummy was when watching specifically Burn Notice, so I watched a lot of Burn Notice.

I'm mostly better now, just dealing with congestion and coughing fits, but I did cancel my weekend plans. At least I can play video games again.

Earlier this year, I tried lightly quarantining myself or masking before an important vacation, which worked well. This is because, in this past year, I've been sick on vacation twice (now three times). I think I will quarantine myself before every vacation from now on.
