Walking with my work in the parade on Sunday. Feels a bit corporate for my tastes but it should be fun. It's been a while since I've actually been to the pride parade.

Listen up, kids - definitely prioritize experiences over things, including the things you keep to memorialize experiences.
Even after what we thought was ruthless purging, there's still the whole shelf of photo albums, the artwork we were in love with that may never make it back out of the shipping boxes, and That Box Which Shall Not Be Spoken Of (has my deceased mother's pottery in it).

I got to hang out with my brother in Prague all last week! It's only a couple hour drive for me, but he flies in from Seattle for work once a year and it's the highlight of my year.
We save up and go a bit hedonistic. We ate once at Field and twice at Sansho. Those meals were all amazing. I highly recommend both places, though Field is more expensive.
Story Time:
One day I got my sleep schedule thrown off by some previous US-timezone meetings. I couldn't sleep and I had just bought a vintage lens at photog heaven. I realized that I am lucky to be in Prague and that I shouldn't waste any time there. So I packed my backpack and asked the lovely gents at our hotel bar where to go late night. They sent me to a local 3 level subterranean bar which was open until 4AM. It was a great recommendation. Afterwards I walked around taking photos, and eventually remembered that "after-hours" is a thing. So I searched Google Maps for that term around 6 AM. I was not disappointed! I ended up at Le Clan. This place was ridiculous to find. I had the address but could not find the entrance. I saw some younger folks hanging out and smoking outside, like a half block away, I heard bass coming from somewhere... but no freaking door. I had given up and started to walk away when I thought "that's what they want me to do!" So I turned around and kept looking. Eventually, exactly at the address on Gmaps, which appeared to be a run-down retail store I saw a tiny oil painting that said "Le Clan" with an arrow pointing at the door. Right when I was about to ring the bell, the door was opened by a super-beefy security guard. Things happened in there.. like movie stuff.. I just had a couple beers and some Havana Club while talking to a guy about politics. Hours later I emerged with an Omaha/Dublin based American film director, and his Georgian sound guy (ex-IBM dev) and we walked up to the park and smoked while watching the day begin.
I then tried to explain all that to my brother while he got ready for his all-hands team building thing.
It was a great week. Though I think I can only handle that kind of thing for about a week per year these days.

If your problem was with vocabulary I'd suggest Anki, but for grammar - not sure. Have you looked at /r/languagelearning and /r/learnspanish yet? Paralleltext might also come in handy.

Not as of yet, I suppose it shouldn't surprise me there are subreddits dedicated to learning languages.

From my understanding, Spanish grammar isn't too different from English. But I get hung up on small things such as whether the pronoun "yo" should go before "quiero".
With a decent vocabulary I'd probably try to tackle this by just... looking for books or articles in Spanish, and reading, reading, reading. Podcasts are another option, or grammar books, but I never liked the latter very much.

Just watching the USWNT game against France this afternoon and eating at our fave hole in the wall Mexican place for an early din. The US is up 1-0 as of this message! On Fox if you’re US.

I'm slowly improving at Sound Voltex (not my footage; nowhere close to this level yet, lol). But this game needs a trip to the arcade to enjoy, so I might not get around to this one.
I'm also hoping to make some good progress on my Bloodstained playthrough; I'm going in blind on Nightmare mode, so it's pretty slow-going. Lots of dying trying to trek from one save room to the next. I suppose I'm a little masochistic, though -- it's a blast, and I recommend it to any fans of Metroidvania games.

Otherwise... studying. Messing around with gopher, maybe. Not sure, but I don't have any plans.
Edit: was trying to get a bee out of my room, pulled the shutters up, shutters remained up. Had to climb on a ladder at 23:30 to try to coax the shutters back down, just so I won't get a face-full of Summer Sunâ„¢ by six in the morning. I was only partially successful.

great way to end a week, honestly. at least i'm not directly involved this time!

Working. Sigh.
Half dying due to the heat and playing some more interactions on my server.

Staying sheltered inside to escape the heat wave and watching some dota (last major before the international).
