This takes me right back to the Internet era of “Under Construction” pages, eye-burning color schemes and fonts, bright colors and noisy movement, pop-up windows, and the fear that mistyping a single letter in a URL would install malware on your computer.
You know, the good old days!
I actually mean that unironically! The early Internet had a sort of nascent charm to it. It was the platform’s awkward adolescent phase. Though I could have lived without the malware. I don’t miss having to run Spybot and Ad-Aware all the time.
