Any other Tims out there? I still say is was my favorite podcast. I occasionally check the podcast feed or reddit to see if I missed anything.

Yep, been a Tim since the first episode released. I think HI is also probably my favourite podcast but I don't listen to enough podcasts for that to be a serious statement that means anything....

Grey & Brady just meshed together so well and I'm sad it's been off the air for about as long as it ran for. And with Grey seeming to have disappeared from the internet for the past year I don't think the HIatus will be over any time soon.

I listened when it originally came out and really enjoyed it. But I never felt the need to go back and relisten, and I've long given up on anything new from it since. I also kinda fell off CGP Grey's content too... Cortex never appealed to me, and his YouTube videos (when there even are any) got kinda uninteresting. He paved the way for a lot of other good YouTubers and podcasters though, so I gotta give him credit where it's due.

o/ Really liked that Grey and Brady were both nerdy in different ways. Cortex is/was interesting but Grey and Mike could form quite the echo chamber.

I was originally sort of interested in some of the work productivity stuff at the time, but over time it evolved into 90% Apple hardware talk and I could not have cared less.

I mean a lot of chats on HI were also apple related, and it went in one ear and out the other. I was just there for the banter.

I had been a Tim about a year into the Podcast, I loved listening on my long drives to work. The chemistry on this show was just so good. I didn't even care about a good number of topics they discussed but the conversation was just great. The two are great friends and contrast well enough for some good media.

      I miss it so much.

Every time I hear someone mention Adelaide, the first thing that comes to mind is "The Mighty Black Stump"

I think for me one of the things that I’m most grateful for is that all of my old websites and blogs and identities that had some of my really cringe thoughts and writings that me working out who I was are gone now. In this modern age does not pay to grow up online. I started using the Internet regularly when I was about 14 back in the mid 90s, when the Internet would scream at you as you connected to it as if to warn you, and you had to pay for the privilege to access the Internet by the minute.

If you know who I am in real life, and you know how to search, you could still find a few vestiges here and there. But what amuses me is that the best preserved things are the few little snippets that I wrote out that were about me that wound up in newspapers (win a small town contest and see if the local cub reporter doesn’t interview you.)

There was a brief period of time where it was “fashionable” I guess you would say to take stuff that you found on the Internet and send it to various print magazines and print newspapers that would then print “what those crazy kids are saying online now“ which I think was peak.

Edit to add: I got lost trying to make my way to my point and now I’m struggling to remember it so I’m watching the video again…

HI introduced me to the podcast world. And it was one of the first online fan community I heavily participated in, though purely contained within the web. I still have yet to meet a Tim IRL and the fan in me will be thrilled when that day comes.
